Congratulations!!! I am an avid runner (as you can see on my profile) and I believe in the power of cardio. However, for me PERSONALLY (everyone is different, don't forget that), strength training is the key to my weightloss and being able to reshape my body. I'd suggest this 12 week, three phase program to help you get…

While I am an avid runner and believe in the power of cardio, the only way I've ever been able to actually lose weight and reshape my body is by lifting weights. Check out this strength training plan (three phases, 12 weeks long) to use as a base until you get yourself more familiar with lifting. There are videos to show…

I have a love-hate relationship with my legs but right now I need to love them because I'm running my first full marathon on Sunday and they are going to crush those hills in SF!!!!!!!!!!!

I use the Sun Warrior Vanilla and Chocolate protein powders. They're free of solvents, GMOs, radiation, artificial flavors, artificial preservatives, or artificial colors. They also contain no animal products, dairy, egg, gluten, soy, added sugar, wheat, or yeast. Expensive but worth the benefits.

I gain anywhere from 3-6lbs the week before and during mine...so yes. It's normal. Stay AWAY from sodium. Eat bananas/drink some coconut water (if you can) for the potassium to soak up some of the extra water weight. Enjoy some Greek yogurt too!

Yes. I am superficial and super sad about my boobs getting smaller. HOWEVER I am excited that I can buy bras a more places :)

Thank you OP!

^^^ This. Sweetie, you need to eat more. Food is not the enemy. You just need to make smart choices. Weigh loss is about 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. YES, you need to exercise but you also need to eat. Food is there to FUEL your body (the engine). So please, eat more.

I'm far from subtle...I'm blunt and let it be known. Why *****foot around it?
-
Yes, be careful!!! I'd highly suggest talking with your primary treating physician before taking any prescribed medications from a weight loss clinic. Your overall health is far more important. Making healthy food choices and exercise will truthfully pay off in the end.

Sweetheart, I live in the Bay Area in California and all of my boyfriends have been outside of my race. My most recent ex and I were walking down the street, holding hands, with his parents on our way to dinner on the 4th of July when some man across the street started yelling obscene things at us. It's sad that people…

You may not be eating enough for how hard you're working your body so it's holding on to everything you're eating? Where are your calories coming from? I know if I don't eat heavier amounts of protein, I don't lose...Idk, but for someone that's eating so few calories and working out extensively that doesn't make sense.…

I have a bunch of live sets from Ultra 2012 that are my FAVORITE to listen to when I'm doing cardio. Avicii's set from Ultra 2012 is the best!

I just roared in laughter. Thank you for this.

I definitely do not look smaller than I am. I'm 5'0' 132 lbs and look every bit of overweight.

@caseyfairbairn has a beautiful smile!

Funny this is a topic. I just had to throw away my Skippy "all natural" (which we know it's not) peanut butter because I can't eat just two tablespoons. It's my weakness! Spoon to mouth. Spoon to mouth. Spoon to mouth. Back to eating the stuff without sugar! hehe

Title caught my eye....not what I thought this was going to be about! hehe

OMG I love you for posting this! I just bought mine last night and wanted to cry! Not to mention I was already buying groceries at Whole Check (Whole Foods).

I'm 5'0" and here's a peak towards my lifestyle change... On the left is one of the only full body pictures I have of myself from April 2009 in Las Vegas (but I only got bigger until I started taking small action in 2010). I'd guess my highest weight was probably 158 lbs. I avoided the scale at all costs (obviously a bad…

yes... I cannot stand when people don't put things away at the gym!

Sizing today is completely arbitrary. Just because it zips, doesn't mean it fits. Buy what fits best. The only one who knows the number is you!
-
Start conservative since this is your first race! Take it easy! Start in the middle of the pack near the outside so you can get around people that are walking. IF there's a water stop, take water towards the end (people will always stop at the beginning). HAVE FUN!

You're my hero! I hope I can get that like that!!!!!!!

I'm in... My goal for loss is a little less than 20 lbs but close enough!
