Looks like we might have another couple coming to our event so Im thinking of adding a personal favorite of mine for an appetizer where the rest of the meal is already planned: Grilled Peppered Tuna Spread: basically its fresh tuna seared with black bepper, ginger, garlic and sea salt. Mashed and mixed with ful fat cream…

See, I would have to use real vanilla bean for this and omit anything artifical-sugar related because of how sick I get from chemicals. I do though make a protein shake using real pumpkin, the traditional spices and mix it in the Almond Breeze with DW's Vanilla protein powder. I love how the pumpkin really does make it…

The only fruit I consume are from the berry family but no more than one serving per day if I want it. Other fruits, OMG.. the reaction is horrible... my mouth gets several sores from the extreme sugar, acid, etc... the insulin response is physically painful... I dont ever want that feeling again. The Carboholics out there…

Looks 'kosher' to me! LOL!

hmmmmm purging zucchini... never even gave it a thought!
-
Where zucchini has such a high water content, how did you find the 'crust'? I wonder if the integrity is maintained during the cooking process or if it gets a bit loose? This looks fantastic!
-
Nope. Sorry. No can do. Even Carrots are on the hit list of "extreme moderation" for Insulin Resistant patients too! lol!!!!!

Its not food in the work-place - its the PEOPLE in the work-place who push the food. That is the issue. The real root of the problem is the fact the offering person does not accept "no thank you" for the answer the first time. People can offer all the food they want - but the real problem is their lacking ability to accept…

OHHHHHHH yeah... I work with 70+ women in one office. And about 75% have obesity-related issues. The junk food that comes through here is astronomically mind-baffling! The last potluck they did, I think I was the only person who brought in something healthy: a fresh vegetable platter, with a homemade dressing... enough to…

Honestly speaking here, you and I are very much alike. I will bask in the glory of all that is rabbit food first thing in the morning. I love a big salad, fresh roasted chicken (garlic and herb seasoned), I make my own salad dressings in many situations. And no.. you dont need to add any carbs to it (Sorry I disagree…

Why would anyone think that is not a meal? Damn, I actually have this as my mid-morning meal planned for today!
-
I have a 64oz mug that I fill twice per day. Plenty of ice, sliced lemons with fresh mint leaves and it is a very refreshing 'bucket' of water. That doesnt count the two cups of water I have in the morning when I wake up, the glass of water with dinner, the water after dinner, or the water I have before going to bed

YIKES, thats alot of carbs!
-
Concentrate on berries. They are much better for you, higher fiber and much more reasonable on the carbohydrate content. Consider experimenting with vegetables as well. My Protein smoothies consist of Designer Whey (Vanilla, Chocolate or Strawberry), Almond Breeze and 1 C Wymans Raspberries (I freeze them) This yields 9g…

Because you are admitting to having problems and being an ED survivor, that is why I suggested going back to them for guidance - because you had admitted that its still a struggle... Come to my place, we have 100% healthy foods... Ill get you fed! 8-)

Like another member said - you need to eat... plain and simple.
-
Unfortunately you are continuing to wreck this for you with what you are willingly doing. You have to eat... that is just the basics here. When you track food - you have to be honest about what you truly consumed. Unfortunately you are not properly eating three meals per day. Are you still consulting with an ED Behavioral…

If you use whole wheat (unbleached, untreated) flour, you are reaping the benefits much more. Regular white flour has been overly processed and bleached... its very unhealthy

Its a small investment for a small tool to help you obtain more accurate results. I use the Polar FT4 pack: watch with chest strap. I only spent $70.00 w/free shipping.. thats a cheap deal.

I find my HRM gives me a much better picture than what the treadmills 'claim' for a caloric burn. A 15min 3.2mph, 10.0 incline per the machine says 200 calories burned and an average HR of 139, but my HRM calculated 225 calories burned and an average heart rate of 144....

Folks with insulin resistance would have problems eating the majority of fruits that are available today. Personally speaking: my limit would be about 3oz of a grannysmith apple before I have the Insulin response that it causes....

Damn filters at work wont let me see that recipe.. Could you copy-paste the recipe here?

I think given the circumstances of the current loss right now, and the potential loss you will have down the road, you will definitely need to consider some reconstructive/corrective surgery... Congrats on the current loss by the way!

To calculate your TDEE-15% use this free calculator: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ Plug in the information and it will give you a good picture of what your goals should be and a sample meal to give you a good breakdown Eating healthy is probably the easiest thing to do: you simply dont eat junk foods,…

You should be wearing an HRM for more accurate caloric burns.... that is the only way you will get a better picture.

To be honest, this happened in the beginning for me but I worked hard at being a better meal planner that way I would not be hungry into the late evening. My last meal is always by 6pm. I am never hungry at night and would rather fill up with water. Consider better meal planning throughout the day. The choices you make in…

I like to preplan ahead. I get alot of flack for it from some people, but it just means I make sure things are in place well ahead as opposed to the nonbelievers who wait last minute. I cant work like that. Planning will be a little different where its just the two of us for Thanksgiving... but... Christmas will definitely…

I second this.... but will also add: consume some healthy protein at home before leaving. That way when you arrive at your friend's house, pile that salad up, do a true literal serving of the mac-n-cheese...
-
Definitely going to second this... I got rid of soda many moons ago and glad I did... my first 12 pounds gone was because I was addicted to soda....
