  • OK..... you can incorporate a sausage-artichoke-spinach bake inside the squash using that cream-cheese, perhaps some nice aged cheddar (aged pairs well with sausage), fresh gahhhhhhhhhhhhhlic, sea salt, black pepper and do a light dusting of freshly grated parmesan on top... make sure pre-cook the sausage about 80% of the…

I have one every morning Monday through Friday when I wake up because I cant eat solid foods right away or I get sick. So I will use…
  • You have three choices: 1.) Eat before you go out 2.) Choose healthy choices and ask questions about how said-food is prepared 3.) Choose whatever you want but only eat reasonable portions. Ultimately and I mean this with no disrespect... Its an easy thing to do... its up to you to decide on what you want and how much of…

  • I purchase a case of chicken, eye round, pork loin, pork ribs, pork butts, whole roaster chickens, flap-meat from our local Sam's and I break it all down and freeze it. I usually do this every four months, and everything gets rotated. Fresh produce is purchased every week. Fresh herbs are purchased as-needed and properly…
  • Fresh foods only, from scratch, every day and every meal is created from that. The only thing I plan ahead are for what protein we will use. Last night was Eye-Round Steaks, so I paired it with Broccoli and Cheese. The leftovers of Broccoli and Cheese was made into a soup for myself for lunch. Last night while cleaning up,…

  • I am going to mirror what others have been posting here: Pre-processed food is basically the very thing Dr Atkins himself was trying to tell his patients "avoid them".. .he was not a fan of the shakes and bars to begin with. Ill have to dig up some reading material later as its fascinating reading. Pre-processed means…
  • I was just at our local Sam's Club and saw those... shook my head in disbelief. Speaking as someone from healthcare, I will be very honest: I am not a fan of Dr Oz. At all. He presents himself in an extremely negative manner by advocating for things like this. Pills are not a miracle-creating item. They are simply a way…
  • One of the things I absolutely love about the State of New Hampshire is that any and all food-establishments' health inspection reports/scores are considered public information. I have my Serv-Safe certification for Employee, Management and Trainer - and when I have to call out on a Server that just violated either a…

  • That depends on what your caloric intake is, your planned purchases for food, your meal planning, what dietetic-choice of intake is, etc. There shouldnt be any issue with portions if you are using a scale for weighing your food. A food-scale is much more effective in portion control than any other tool available. What is…

  • You can reduce your risk of injuries, soreness, fatigue and whatnot by doing appropriate stretching before, during and after. Cramping included, but it can also be a sign of vitamin/mineral depletion as well.
