If you don't let yourself snack every so often then you'll end up eating everything in sight. Don't be discouraged, everyone has slip ups. Just don't let 1 slip up become 20 or 30 lasting for a long period of time. lol.

I know it can be discouraging. I've not lost anything in a while too. What keeps me motivated is looking at all of these success stories on MFP. It has really helped me a lot. I've also taken measurements. Maybe you should try that too. That way you can see if you are losing anything aside from just the #'s on the scale.…

I don't know what the official is but I always measure from the biggest part as well.
-
Wow, that's a very inspiring story. Great job on all of your hard work!
-
Congrats on the 11 lbs! That's awesome! I'm glad you are already seeing changes!
-
I've only caught a few episodes of Biggest Loser but hey they do intense stuff. Use that as your motivation! You can do it!
-
That's amazing! Great job! I was considering p90x but figured it'd be too intense.

I agree. I've had a few days where I eat terribly and then it just continues for months. I keep "starting over" all the time. This time I want it to be different. I'm becoming more active with the forums to have support and to keep myself motivated. It's really motivating to see all of these before and after pictures.

Thanks everyone for you responses. I've looked up some youtube videos on Zumba and it seems kinda hard to comprehend with all the fast movements...even when they are doing it step by step. I guess I'm not coordinated that well. I'd still like to try it though.

I'm going to try out this 100 push up challenge as well as the two hundred sit up challenge ( a link is on the same website ).

I love those quotes.

I love those quotes.

I only get 30 minutes for lunch too; customer service rep-desk job. :| I'd like to be a nurse. That'd keep me moving. I've never seen those sold in my area. The swedish meatballs and 5 cheese lasagna sound good.

The picture is of me and my baby nephew. I have only one 5 yr old step-son. My biggest obstacle is that after working 8 hrs and doing assignments I'm too tired to do anything. I also have trouble with eating at night. :| Good luck to everyone!

I'm 24 and have 50 lbs to lose. I'm gonna start doing Zumba soon! Good luck!

I've been wanting to try the Zumba dvd's too. There is a local class here in my area but they are on advanced. They currently don't have any beginner classes. So I was considering buying the dvd's and then joining the advanced class later.

I'd like to lose 20 lbs by Halloween. I don't know if that will be possible since it's almost September. I will try it though. My ending weight IF I lost 20 would be 151.
-
Don't get discouraged. Take your measurements. That could give you an idea of how well you are doing too. ;) Good luck!
-
No I'm not doing the video thing although I was thinking about it. I'm not much of a talker, lol. But I do research them a lot. I think fat2fitmama is a real motivator. Check out her page. I'll add the page links I see on this thread too. ;)

I'm in the obese range as well. I'm looking to lose 60 lbs. What about you?
-
Your after picture kinda reminds me of Carmen Electra Great job PS Love your outfit in the Before pic!
-
Great job!

I'd love to buy the Zumba Dvd's and then once I get the hang of it I'd like to join in the advanced local class.
-
What website did you go to, to make your display pic?
-
Amazing progress! I'm thinking of doing Zumba.
-
Really? I was told Zumba could burn approx. up to 500-1000 calories per hour. I guess it depends on how much you work it and your body type? I am uncoordinated as well so I don't know how well I'd do but I'd love to give it a shot. My plan would be to lower my calorie intake and to do Zumba 2-3 times (maybe 4) per week…

Congrats!!! Great job!!!
