Sounds great! Anyone have any ideas of a good substitute for the chicken (other than tofu)? Thanks!

Adding protein powder worked for me- I have a healthy diet and am pretty active. I also had lost some but then stopped loosing- that worked for me. Good luck!

I had it done last spring and it would do it again! I had to have a different procedure- PRK (common for very short folks), so it was VERY painful and still worth it!

I use crushed roasted garlic tomatoes and add italian seasonings, light sour cream, veggie stock and a little flour/corn starch to thicken to desired consistency...hmmm soooo good!

I am vegetarian- dabbling in vegan cooking as well. I am not sure I can part with cheese:)

I would enjoy it! Unless there is something else you know she has been really wanting that suits the holiday and you can't do both- good luck!

Oh how I love bread!!! I suppose I have just decided that is one thing I will keep:) In moderation of course...

I probably need to get on here more frequently...my scale has been going the wrong way! It was so much easier during winter break! I am going to have to think of something really different to try, hmmm

I am 4'11, my current is 119 but I am working towards 110ish- really I am going for toning more so hopefully I will know it when I get there:)

My boyfriend at the time/husband now had made dinner reservations at our favorite "fine dining" restaurant. They generally only have one vegetarian option; he had the chef call me ahead of time to make sure that the option was something that I wanted. One very sweet thing he has done of the many!

Couldn't care less...I do like to catch a good futbol match though.

Thanks so much for the ideas! Unfortunately, the gym where I go to school doesn't open that early (not until noon on weekends!), closes fairly early, and doesn't offer much beyond the basic gym equipment- it is a small school. They have some classes but are offered while I am in class. When it warms up I will be able to…

I am vegetarian and my mother in law is a meat eater- she puts meat in everything! I always ask what I can bring bring a side item that I will eat. While this sounds bad- sometimes I just don't go very hungry:) Or- dessert doesn't usually have meat and if you skip the meal it isn't so bad to have dessert once in awhile so…

If you need further motivation- reading the book Fast Food Nation may help. Since my reasons are moral there really never times that I want to eat meat. I think it helps to be interested in trying to cook new and different foods to keep it interesting and then you have no reason to go back to old habits- good luck!

I am very aware that it isn't helping me to be more healthy...however, that is one relaxing Friday evening activity where I am willing to sacrifice a bit of weight loss with a bit of quality of life:)

Good to know how other people do it- thanks!

Way to go on deciding to make a change in your life! I just wanted to offer that sometimes when I feel unmotivated or what have you it helps me to look at some of the Success Stories- that is always there for you to offer a little reminder of why you are doing it and the fact that keeping with it will give you results.…

I also enjoyed 30 DS but didn't see a significant difference. I am 4 '11 and 118. I did enjoy getting to see my strength and endurance improve but it seems like maybe if you don't have as much to loose the inch loss is just not so big. Way to go on sticking to it!

yum- thanks

I do enjoy the workouts- I think it is good to do some other cardio with it. I like to listen to music or put a movie on while I do it otherwise I get a little bored- good quick workout though! I also like that when you finish one you can move on to the next and mix them up.

I was so excited to do 30DS as others had such amazing results...but I think since I was fairly small the results were less extraordinary. I certainly toned up some- I did become more strong and better with cardio which I think is entirely worth it. I loved starting on one level and seeing the improvement in my health and…

Welcome! I am 28 and 4'11! You are welcome to add me as a friend if you like... My current weight is 118 and I am shooting for 110 or so- really I just want to feel good and tone up so whenever that happens. Good luck!

Sounds like folks are making progress- yay! I was wondering if anyone has noticed significant increases in protein making a difference. I noticed most difference over break when I was doing protein shakes but I also had more time for exercise then...just curious as I am thinking about buying a large container of protein…

I use cottage cheese in lasagna also- I mix cottage cheese and ricotta- tastes great and is a little more healthy with added protein.

I did do 30 DS and now do Ripped in 30; I do think maybe 30DS first is better as the other may be pretty tough to start out with. I enjoy being able to do a quick work out and continue to use it. Many describe pretty dramatic results- loosing inches; I have not experienced such result but sometimes can see some difference.…
