Totally agree on having a good back. The width of my grip is the same on everything to mimick the bench, ohp, pullovers etc. But I've noticed heavy straight bar pullovers and heavy tricep work gets me moving up in the bench.

This Saturday will be going for a new rep PR with 315 lbs, hoping for 10-12 range.

385 right now with a 345 incline weighing 249. Going for 395 two weeks from now. My 2017 goals are 405 flat and 365 incline at age 50. Power lifted back in the day, had a 505 flat and 405 incline at 34 weighing 260-270.

Normal voice, no facial hair, the body of a 18-19 year old. Muscle definition and striations very noticeable. Fatigued at 27, then 3,then 2. Rested at the lockout. Hoping next week with 315 will be above 10. Week after that hoping for new single of 405.

Got 32 reps today on flat bench with 225 lbs new PR for 2017 at 50 years old. Next week trying for 10 plus reps with 315.

Ripping the door off a car in an accident, also the power seat back. Door was jammed closed from impact. That was kinda cool. One survived the other didn't. Moving a car with my brother that had us blocked in.

You can get strong have long limbs, everything is a longer rep. My arms are 6'6" from finger tip to finger tip, makes benching a long rep and joint issues. Maybe I'm just old,lol. Squats I had to use a wider stance.

Seated military press below the ears 225x4 after 185,205 for 10. 30 reps with 225 on flat bench, 345 lbs on the incline bench. All this past month. 2017 hoping for 405 flat and 350 incline bench. Oh yeah also hit a set of 10 seated dumbell presses with 100 pounders. I think heavy pullovers and heavy tricep work has helped.

Just find a veteran power lifter to help you. Being bombarded by all those Internet programs is confusing to a beginner. Old school guy preferably, not an Internet lifter.
