Wow! he's beautiful. What breed is he?

Ramen with some added stuff.

Oh my goodness! Pitbulls

Greyhound, then Doberman, then Great Danes. Explosion of magnificence. This is my new favourite thread.

Just for reference, TinyPic.com will resize photos for you on upload, so they'll fit into the MFP forum format.

You don't need to count calories at all, in theory. If you follow principles like, half a plate of protein, a quarter starches and a quarter veggies, with fruit or limited "treats" between it's fairly easy to not overeat. I spent a year without logging and eating this way and it was largely successful, I only put on about…

Mine do that, too! Unfortunately the kitty in the picture (his name was Meatball) passed away, and my dog refuses to cuddle with the new cat.

She has grown...

You need to use lowercase letters when your write your tags.

This is such a fun photo!

Oh no, I'm sorry :frown: She had a long life, though, that's wonderful. And she's gorgeous, of course! Losing them is so tough.
-
Delivered. As expected.

I love Jack Russells. They're so madly energetic. My dog is a Jack Russell cross, her mother was a Staffie... I call her a "Jackie"
-
You are correct. I tried to make a reference to "dogs", but it just sounded like some gross interspecies experiment. So ashamed.
-
How do you manage to not make that sound like a bestiality reference? I need to spend more time in these forums. Mad skills going on here.
-
I hope not. Cats in a bag are ferocious.

I don't think it matters if you're using a high enough resistance to stress the musculature in the legs. I don't know if recumbent bikes offer an incline option, but that would do it, too. Ultimately it's all cardio anyway. Chris Hoy didn't get tree trunks for legs by cycling...
-
I said not a euphemism! You must have a big house... (all of them!)
-
Cycling? It takes a lot more effort to cycle uphill, but that's moot if you're using a stationary cycle. Neither has an advantage over the other, the effort comes from the legs... the pivot point of the hips isn't of any consequence.

He looks cosy, not pathetic

When I lived at home, I had a Dogue de Bordeaux (French Mastiff) who was about 110lbs at 1 year old. They're so strong and powerful at that size, it's incredible really. I'm not a weak person by any means, but he used to pull me around like I was a child. ETA: This is him as a 5 month old "puppy"!

Sorry, that was for the gent who asked for the scoring to be explained.

Can't seem to edit my other post to add my lunch. Although tuna water isn't sexy, it is delicious.

If that's the case, I'd take the BCAAs with whatever food I was getting in. I was assuming OP was doing fasted cardio or similar in the morning, in which case taking BCAAs for cals kind of moots the point and you may as well get them in with a good breakfast, because there's no benefit in doing fasted WOs over fed ones...…

What breed are they? Pomeranian?

Curling is just bowls on ice. You have a set number of games per end (usually ten, but sometimes eight), and eight rocks per game. The object is to push the rock as close to the house as possible... i.e. get your big stone closest to the centre of the target. It's harder than it sounds, it's not just a game of power...…

The snowboarding has to be a given, doesn't it? who wouldn't like watching the slopestyle, half-pipe and cross? And I love the hockey... but for me, though, you can't beat luge and skeleton. 90mph, in half an ice tube, on a sled that weighs practically nothing, with no protection on your body but a helmet. And in skeleton…

Karen's post is spot-on. Water weight and "food weight". Fight the urge to weigh yourself frequently. You'll get a much better reading on actual weight gain if you wait at least a fortnight to a month to weigh yourself.
-
Why are you working out "fasted" if you're taking BCAAs pre-WO? Anyway, you could try cordials or a little bit of fruit juice diluted with water. ETA: Because BCAAs do have calories, regardless of what it says on the packet.

Being European, I can say that you're incorrect. Europe, particularly the UK, can nod its obesity epidemic to alcohol and sedentary lifestyles. Convenience and junk foods, here, as as "bad" as they are in the US.
