Nothing, it's disgusting. I eat quark instead. Goes with everything it's usually cheaper and has better macros.

Sugar is a carb. Carbs are calorie dense. Excess calories make you fat. Being fat makes you more likely to have a heart attack and die at an embarrassingly large size, so big you'll need a forklift in your funeral procession and a gurney as your pallbearers. Say it with me. Excess calories are unhealthy. Sugar is delicious.

It's epically windy where I live, and it's been on-off pissing it down all day. It's so windy it's sent my bin, which is pushed up against the garden wall, over it and moved my satellite dish out of alignment so my living room TV no longer works. First world problems, I s'pose. The only one who has really suffered is my…

Why does it get annoying when you don't eat certain things? are you being preachy about it and inadvertently making him feel bad about eating them? or does he cook all of your food, and get offended when you don't eat the meals or snacks he makes? Do you choose to work out only when he has time to watch TV? or can he DVR…

I believe she said he wanted the Oly bar to do OHPs. If it's more about the bar and less about the rack, I'd suggest going there at a different time. Ideally a gym should have a bar for every piece of equipment and a few spares for people doing deadlifts, BB rows, etc. out on the floor. If your gym doesn't have this (don't…

You're already working together, so let other people work in if they want to, provided they're willing to help you set up the weight you're working with and you're willing to do the same for them. When you start using heavier weights, you'll need a longer rest period than the amount of time one other person is doing their…

Yesterday's Thai green curry.

Sometimes they'll try and sign you up for personal training sessions, or certain classes, but they're not mandatory. You're just guided around and shown how the machines work, generally.

I haven't read the entire thread, but I've seen really great results with calendula oil and vitamin E oil after a good scrub with a loofah 2-3 times a week. It fades them and I can't feel them at all when I run my fingers over them now. And I have a lot of stretch marks.

You can be overweight outwardly, but active and eat a balanced and varied diet - just too much of it, and be a picture of health on the inside. You can be skinny outwardly, but completely sedentary and eat like crap day-in, day-out, and be so unhealthy inside it's scary. The thing is, outward appearance is often - not…

To a certain point, being overweight is not a problem. In that sense, mocking the marginally "fat" is awful. Women or men who are a little bit chubby and fully happy with how they look at their lifestyle, as well as their health - both proven and perceived - deserve to be celebrated just as much as "athletic" and "fit"…

I can sympathise with this in a way. I lost some friends because I no longer drank to excess every weekend and didn't constantly eat "unhealthy" foods. When that's your only way of socialising with someone, or your social interaction is centred around those types of things, and the friend or friends in question don't want…

Cook a batch at home and freeze. By the time you get it to work it will have thawed enough to micro. It'll still taste really good. I freeze mine flat in zip-lock bags, but people also do ice cube trays. I like mine flat because, if it isn't thawed, I can just run it under the hot tap for a few seconds and it'll thaw in a…

Merchant Gourmet do pre-cooked packs of lentils you can eat cold or warm up in the microwave. I like to just pair them with a bit of beef and some wholegrain mustard vinaigrette. Bit of thinly sliced radish, few cubes of beetroot, sliced white or red cabbage, thinly sliced red onion, and some grated carrot.
-
Lentils are a fabulous lunch food.
-
I agree with this. As a teen, take advantage of the fact you can eat everything plus the kitchen sink and just move more.

I also use Flahavans whole oats. Quick tip... toast them before you cook with them. Doesn't take long, but they taste so much better. Either toast them dry, or in a tiny bit of butter.

I have several Shock Absorber bras and a couple of the Panache variety. I'm not as large-chested as I used to be when I was overweight, but I still find that Shock Absorbers are great for high-impact. They're very comfortable and supportive. No sore shoulders. The only issue I have with them is the straps coming undone.…

What you eat or when doesn't matter. What's the nutritional breakdown? How many calories a day? How much protein, carbs and fat? Cardio is not the best way to lose fat and retain muscle, and that's how you look "flat" or lean. Pick up a resistance training circuit, it can be bodyweight or you can hit the free weights.

If you have 20 or so lbs to go, just focus on your calorie deficit. If you find your losses stop or stall for a month or two, eat at your maintenance calories for a while and then readjust your deficit. Diet Coke is fine. I drink it all the time (that or Coke Zero) and it hasn't stopped my fat loss.

Does it say "use by" or "best before"? those are the terms we have in the UK. "Use by" is usually reserved for perishables like meat, fish and vegetables. "Best before" is used as a quality guarantee up until that date, and things stamped with a "best before" date are fine to eat after that... like eggs, yoghurt, cheese,…

Shakes and high protein snacks like quark help. I love quark, and in general I hate cheese, but I eat it like yoghurt. I make proats a lot, too. I just make oatmeal as usual, with water, then mix up my protein powder with milk and pour that over the top. Cools it down enough to eat it immediately and it doesn't coagulate…

35-35-30 (protein, carbs, fat) But the only one I pay attention to is protein. The others can read what they want as long as I pretty much hit my protein goal.

How do you know how much you've been eating when your diary is mostly empty this week?
-
Your diary doesn't appear to be open. Based on what you've said, though, for your level of activity the answer is very likely that you're not eating enough.

Clean eating is that false sense of health you get at the beginning of every other "diet". Clean eating is the precursor to binge eating. Clean eating is part of the reason people think they're addicted to food. Clean eating is why people feel "healthy" means "bland and boring" or "complicated".

Purchase the books Starting Strength (3rd edition) and Becoming a Supple Leopard by Mark Rippetoe and Kelly Starrett respectively. They're expensive, but worth their weight in gold. Rip's book is available on Kindle, which is cheaper and just as good as the print book. Kelly's book isn't, yet, I don't believe. Read them…

Minimalist shoes will likely make them worse. Firstly, RICE whenever possible for 2 weeks. Don't run or walk too hard during this time, either... let yourself fully heal. Secondly, it's because your body is not used to exercise or that particular exercise. Build up to it slowly once you've fully healed, don't run every day…

No offence intended, either, but if you have this mentality that you're going to step into the freeweight section of the gym and walk out even a year later with "a 6 pack" you're not the type of person who has the dedication to achieve "a 6 pack" in the first place. Ask any woman with that type of body how long it took.

A lot of these foods are calorie dense one way or another. That's fine, just account for it. My personal preference when I eat out is to choose a large portion of lean protein, breaded or in batter only if there's no other option, and then to build around that with vegetables. Starchy veg, breads, rice or pasta only if I'm…
