I only weigh myself every two weeks. I seem to lose weight in clumps of 3-4 lbs. I wake up one morning and I'm 4 pounds lighter. It's crazy! :) Just keep going and track every calorie!! Good luck!

Wow! You have nothing to be embarrassed about. You look great.

A friend of mine is diabetic. He is under Dr.'s orders to not eat any refined carbs. He chooses not to tell people about his diabetes. That's his business. I can't tell you how many people are food pushers. And when he resists their pushing, some people are mean about it. He's been called 'health freak' and 'anal'. He…

yay to quitting smoking! That's awesome. I quit a while ago and it's tough! I also gained a bit of weight when I quit, but after a while, I lost it almost naturally. Also, I found that after I quit, it was a little easier to lose weight because I could up the level of intensity and the duration of my workouts! When I was…

Wow! So many fellow teachers! I teach 3rd grade. Lunch takes me about 15 minutes the night before and then about 5 minutes in the morning. One thing I do is pack a snack for my 30 minute drive home. I carpool with my husband and I keep our snack in a cooler in the car as an afternoon treat. It really helps me to not binge…

I am the same way! However, two months ago, my husband was diagnosed with diabetes. One thing the dr. told him was that he should have something to eat every few hours. I looked up diabetes diet online and the recommendation is healthy carbs and protein.I started packing a lunch with two snacks. It looks something like…

I know someone already said it but meetup.com is a great place to meet people. I'm married, but I like to hike. I joined a hiking group and I met so many people, both married and single. There's no pressure to find someone but you;ll meet a lot of people with similar interests. My dd is also married and joined an ex-pats…

Polly Fleming .......why are people so afraid of using their name? :)

I don't think it does any good. I was bitten by a dog in August and it terrifies me when dogs come up to me quickly. The dog that bit me was a family dog and on a leash. I was walking by it (not making eye contact or trying to pet it-I didn't even see it!) and it lunged at my arm. I stopped and grabbed my arm and it bit…

That's about my goal too and I get the exact same thing from my friends.. It bugs. 125 isn't too thin. It's is a healthy weight for someone who's 5'5. Do what is right for you. :)

My head says Brady but my heart says Tebow. Whoever wins, I just hope it's a good game.

2 reduced fat triskets, light cream cheese, smoked salmon, capers, and finely diced red onion. It's super satisfying and low calorie.

I love to hike in OC. I don't know if you've heard of meetup.com, but if you google it and go to to their site, you can search groups and find an OC Hiking club that hikes all over. I like it because it's not a 'singles' thing or a 'couples' thing. It's just a good way to find new trails in a safe group environment. The…

I think I would choose the Cioppino but ask for it in a regular bowl, instead of the sourdough bowl. Have fun!

Wow! You look great! Good job!

Hi PrincessLynn! About 5 years ago, I went to the Dr. and my blood pressure was 140/90 or borderline high. I started walking .9 miles a day (about 14 minutes total) and changed nothing else. My blood pressure was normal and has stayed normal since. Not only that, the walk helped get me started on being more physically…

I totally relate. I sometimes will tell my husband I'm not tired so I can 'sneak' food after he's gone to bed. Not that he would ever say anything but I'm so embarrassed about how much I can eat. I can eat a big dinner, feel stuffed, and still eat more food. I can eat so much it makes my stomach hurt.

Count me in! I'm 5'5 and currently 191. My goal is 182 pounds (or less!) by Valentine's Day.

Hi! I live in South OC, in RSM. I usually walk and go to the gym. I also did the HMR weight loss at UCI and lost about 28 pounds. I have kept about 16 of those pounds off. It's a very good program. I am now trying to get in shape for a trip to Europe next summer. Good luck to all!
