  • Is this something where you come from home, work and return home or are you away staying at a hotel? If coming from home everyday....buy you a cooler type bag, cold packs and stock it full of your meals. I bring one to work with me every day! In it I pack my lunch (sandwich, baby carrots, an apple and a chip of some…
  • Goodwill was my saving grace. I had to buy business casual clothes and its amazing how many things were now my size where before I could never find anything that fit because I was too big. I went every weekend and bought a shirt here and a pair of pants there. I've quite a collection I need to get back into once I get the…
  • Is it water? No Do I count it as water? No Do I drink water? No LOL Hope that helps!
  • I just eat LOL Whatever it adds up to, it adds up to. As long as I am in my goal range....I just do what I do. Some days my breakfast is 60 calories...some days my breakfast is 200. Just depends on my hunger and what I have around to eat. I don't exercise (yet). I know I should. Still trying to get the food thing down…
  • When I did low carb, breakfast was totally not boring!!! I would have ham roll ups (slices of ham, light smear of cream cheese and a pickle spear) Or Low carb yogurt (4 net carbs and 8 g protein..keeps me full til lunch...I still have this for breakfast) Ham rolled up with mozz cheese stick Deviled eggs Any protein…
  • Click on food and then recipes and then create new recipe and then as long as it has 2 or more ingredients it will take it. Then when you log...just go to recipes and find it, check it and wala!
  • Yup. I have a hoard in my pantry. 8 boxes of the salt and sour cream and onion. I love the salt ones with salsa! The serving size is humungus and there are times I only need half a serving (15 chips) to satisfy that crunchy craving!! I won't always have a supply like this, I just got them for a really good sale price AND I…
  • I am 39 years old female. I have major heart disease in my family. I have to watch my numbers very carefully. On August 11 (before starting my diet ) my numbers were Total:269 HDL (Good) :56 Triglycerides: 242 LDL (bad) :164 I was put on pravachol 20 mgs that day and was told to take them for 2 months. I started my new…
  • It's the God complex. When someone gets their lightbulb moment...they want everyone to have the same thing. Not to say they aren't just totally greedy and trying to use scare tactics to get you to buy their products (buy it now or you'll die a horrible death etc). I definitely wouldn't buy from anyone who has these…
  • Chop up turkey into some fat free gravy (or gravy of choice), boil up some macaroni (of choice) mix together and add some light or fat free sour cream for a mock turkey stroganoff. I chop it up into my lunch salad too. Other than that...freeze it and use it later for casseroles.
  • Make a shepherds pie with it and freeze it in individual portions! I plan on making it tomorrow to make room in the fridge and then making containers of it so I can just pop it in the micro for a quick and easy lunch!
  • No wonder you're starving and gaining weight. I really don't see much nutrition in your meals. If your doctor approved what you're eating, you need to get a new doctor. Also I see you snack A LOT at night. And it's all sugary carbs. That may be a habit you need to break. You're the definition of insanity...doing the same…
  • No hard rules really....I can be stubborn and be defiant when it comes to things like that. I just have to 'remember' that I can now have anything I want.....within reason and moderation. I can HAVE a slice of pizza or cake but make it a serving size. I can also NOT have it and live. LOL i am also finding out on my journey…
  • Yes I logged. There were quite a few recipes I had to input here at MFP to get the serving numbers but all in all I think I did really good...PLUS when I weighed this morning for giggles...I was the same so I take it as a successful dining experience. I could have easily gone over my calories in stuffing alone but I…
  • After coming from low carb...every day for me is a 'cheat' meal LOL I am having so much fun having sandwiches again (on 12 grain fiber rich bread) and mashed potatoes (made with a tiny bit of sour cream and chicken broth, no butter) and cereal (cheerios-for the cholesterol you know) and my fave lucky charms (for dry…
  • I am the same way about exercise...but what I have found is if you join a challenge group, and have to report your exercise for the day and be accountable, it may motivate you to do it. On another board I am on they have challenges all the time and for me, it does help. I just need to join one again. I've been slacking…
  • As I kept reading, I saw a bunch of people lost weight! Good job!!! And for those who didn't....you know what to do and I'm so glad to hear it didn't derail you!!! Today is a new day and time to get those booties movin!!!
  • I have been on decaf for over 8 years. I find it tastes no different but I don't get the side effects from caffeine!
  • I stayed under my 1200 calories for the day and enjoyed a little of everything!!! I couldn't believe after having a salad to start, that I would fill up too quick and actually left food on my plate!!!! It felt weird not cleaning it and licking it dry LOL So proud of myself. I could have gone nuts but I didn't. I even…
  • I had the day off so I slept late and had no breakfast Lunch was a albacore tuna salad on whole wheat toast, baby carrots and a diet pepsi Dinner was Campbells Select harvest Savory chicken with long grain rice, tuna sandwich (same as lunch) Dessert was Fuji apple slices with tbsp natural Jif PB. Still had 300+ calories to…
  • *thud* I would dive into this cake and eat my way out! Seriously I have heard of these cakes, but have never met one in real life. That looks SO good. Diet would be damned if someone showed up at my house with that *hint hint*
  • I don't understand the coworkers who give a hard time at the word "no". When I say no, they say ok and walk away. No questions, no weird looks. I have been abstaining so long that I can easily say no and not be pressured. And if someone leaves a goodie on my desk while I am away....I don't throw it away...I give it away to…
  • Breakfast Coffee low carb yogurt tea Lunch Turkey on whole wheat bread with spicy mustard baby carrots baked chips of some type (ruffles, cheetos, sun chips) diet pepsi Dinner Lean cuisine dinner with a homemade salad OR One cup brown rice and a sauteed chicken breast and steamed veggie Nightly snack Special K chips OR Cup…
  • My goal is to lose at least one pound on my weigh in Monday following Thanksgiving. That will help me stay on track. I plan on having a little bit of the things I really want and I WILL log as I am curious to see what it will add up to. I will just have a light breakfast, if anything since we are eating earlier than I…
  • I posted but it disappeared lol I'll try again. I made this last night. For 350 calories it was 9 grilled garlic shrimp, one cup of chopped broccoli, 2 oz (best to my knowledge...I didn't have anything to measure but I made sure it was a very small portion) of Ronzoni Smart Taste fiber rich pasta and a little ICBINB…
  • Last night I made some grilled garlic shrimp, chopped broccoli and ronzoni fiber rich pasta and all I put in there for a little binder was a smidge (about 1/2 tbsp) of ICBINB spread and then when I got to my table instead of salt I sprayed it with a little more ICBINB spray. It was delicious and only 300 calories. I was…
  • I break everything down...so for each ingredient, I guesstimate on the high side of how much I had. You can only do so much but shouldn't have to be frustrated. Just do the best you can and keep other things you do know on the low side so it balances out.
  • When I was on Atkins, I always made Mashed Caulitaters and just made sure there was green beans or broccoli. The second year, I had to double the amount of caulitaters because everyone else went crazy over them and I barely got some for myself!!! Once I was able to eat them, I LOVE roasted brussel sprouts! So nutty…
  • The first time I went pants shopping since losing weight. All my elastic ones were falling off me. I went to the dressing room with size 14, 12 and size 10's thinking no way would I get into a size 10....maybe a 12 but not a 10. I tried on the 14 and they were so big they fell off me as soon as I buttoned them. Ok, lets…
