Thanks! That makes me feel a lot better about how things are going and not over thinking things!

Very good point, I figure the lead up to the first meeting or date is really like a date, so at some point during it I have a good feeling about moving forward.

Thanks, this is sort of what I am realizing about myself

I am torn between the Garmin 410 and the polar RCx3. We have very similar requirements in the fitness department so I would think one of those would be the best bet. Sandy's comments below really make me think the Garmin might be a better choice, but I really like the fitness test capabilities of the Polar. I will be…

Thanks everyone, I am glad that several of you find my journey inspiring and the comments have helped me with assessing my results and trying to see what I have done so far. I am spending time each day this week to build my plan for 2013 and I look forward to working with the MFP community to reach our goals!

Eggplant Lasagna Recipe - I’ve had eggplant lasagna on many occasions, but always with the noodles, so I decided to use the eggplant in place of the noodles, thus keeping the hearty comfort food a little healthier. Ingredients 6 cups low sodium Marinara 1 eggplant, 16 ounces or larger 1 portobello mushroom 1 cup baby…

Great results and awesome post! I have seen great results since incorporating Crossfit routines into my workouts!

Thanks everyone, diet is the number one thing! I tried to follow the "If it fits your macro" approach rather than calling it cheating, so while I did lower my carbs and sugar counts, I still allowed myself to eat items I liked in moderation. The other big thing about the diet is portion control, looking back I had no idea…

Wow, thank you for clarifying this! I almost had an anxiety attack thinking this was how I had been acting, lol I was going to say as long as you are upfront and let them know you are interested in more than being friends from the beginning it makes everything easier, but you run the risk of losing them while you are just…

Great post! This is actually great timing because this past weekend my trainer and I had done a series of tests to try and figure out the difference in burns for steady state cardio. One thing I have learned that adds a third variable, and produces what I believe to be the most accurate count is cardio based machines that…

shannajojo, 6 weeks ago I struggled to 5 in a set, since 7pm Monday I have done over 700 in 5 hours. It will take some time, but make sure you do some exercises to build the supporting muscle groups. This is a good website with some tips http://scoobysworkshop.com/zero-to-100-pushups-for-complete-beginners/

That is a great accomplishment! Rest days is something I struggle with all the time, do you alternate Cardio and lifting days? I just checked my numbers for the last 30 days and I was at 28 out of 30 days, with a total burn of 28,076

Awesome progress, great job sticking with! I can totally relate to the "hurdles" that you break down as they are similar to mine! I look forward to following each other as we meet our goals!

NSV's like this are the greatest! It shows that hard work and dedication can improve your quality of life!

Funny I saw that meetup listed and have gone to Red Ox on Monday nights to see my friend play his acoustic set. This same meetup group did an event at the engine house earlier in the summer that turned out to be a lot of fun and I made several friends out of it, so I will probably end up going to it, maybe we can make a…

I had the same problem! I finally went to a pair of JVC Sports-Clip Earbud Headphones. They wrap behind your ear, took a few days to get used to them, but now I would be lost without them.

I can so relate to this! It is me in a nutshell, but it finally took me realizing that I have a lot to offer and I have to remind myself of those qualities that other people appreciate. I truly believe you have to move out of your comfort zone and surround yourself with people that will help you realize those qualities.

I agree 100% - I did my first warrior dash yesterday, the longest run was the first mile, but then after that the runs were broken up by the obstacles so it gave you some breaks. I was able to complete all of them and had a great time. I can't wait for next years!

I use the Perfect Portions scale, it has over 2000 items. http://www.perfectportionsscale.com/

Amazing dedication!

I know what you mean! Going through the same thing right now

Really thinking week 2 should have been 90 minutes, lol I was able to get in 26 minutes so far in week two and prospects for getting 94 minutes between now and Saturday will be difficult because I get bored to easy just jumping rope :)

Jeff, Great post! I have been struggling with this the last few weeks and am finally realizing over the last few days this is exactly what I need to work on.
