Not sure what my husband would say about this. I'm sure we both think we are conforming sometimes and compromising sometimes. I tend to do what I want and expect him to tell me if he wants me to stop or change, and plenty of times he doesn't, so there's no way I can either conform or compromise in that situation. I am more…

Push-ups are the best upper-body exercise for women. If you can do them full-bodied you will exercise your whole body, but if you can, just do them from your knees, varying the distance between your hands to exercise your chest, shoulders, triceps and back. You can even do them standing up putting your hands at…

Hey, when mamma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!

Well, now... depends what I'm doing. But I suppose catcher describes many of the activities I can think of. Send it to me hard and fast!

Fabulous NSV! I'm hoping for something similar someday; I'd like to look down and see hair without having to lift and compress anything.

I'm very sorry for your loss. That must have been very painful. I can understand eating to soothe the pain.

I joined the AF Nurse Corps when my ex-husband left me for another woman thinking if I moved away he could come with me and be far away from her making it easier to stay with me. I also thought at the time that I wanted to be told what to do and think. I found out that neither was true and I should have known better. I am…

Your confusion and hurt are understandable, normal, expected and will be temporary. Now you are free to make yourself and your life exactly what you want them to be. Strengthen your boundaries for everyone, but especially for your ex. Don't let him hurt you again. This protects both you and your child. I've been there,…

Although my mother understands directions, measurements, ingredients and has a good working vocabulary for cooking, the nightmare soup sounds like stuff she used to make when I was a kid. She's better now, but I'm still not impressed most of the time. Haven't seen her use a slow cooker. She likes the oven.

I had a coworker once who called Nutella "oral orgasms." I love Nutella, too, and eat it with a spoon when I have it, but I mostly refuse to buy it because I know where it will go. And the other kind of oral orgasms don't have any calories, or might even burn a few, so I try to add as many of those to my diet as I can.

I think we need to perpetuate this myth. Might deter some from getting hooked.

I think this might actually be true. I don't think asparagus pee happens to everyone, it's genetic. If they share bowel it stands to reason that absorbption from the gut would occur for both circulations and they would both have the asparagus-smelling urine.

I believed my mother knew everything. I was 18 when I realized she didn't and I felt so let down.

Spanish people are considered white for medical purposes...Arian. When they sailed west and began depositing semen in the wombs of natives of other lands, that's when they started to look different and became mestizos who were latinos.

Actually, if you left your hands in bleach long enough your hands would disappear. Bleach is caustic and it would dissolve your hands, but it would take a while.

What?! Jackrabbits do exist. Go to Texas and you will see them alive beside the roads and when they get run over in the road they become "sailrabbits" because then you can pick them up, throw them and they sail away. Seriously, jackrabbits do exist. You just haven't seen one yet. Google it.

"Captain, I like you better when you're drinking." "Yeah, I like you better when I'm drinking, too."

I don't think I can add anything of value to the discussion of BMR and calorie intake for extreme weight loss, but I can support the notion that low (simple) carb, higher protein intake is better to support better health in the long run for many obese people. Your muscles in your legs are already pretty strong having to…

Was the bacon woven before cooking? Must have been... otherwise it would crumble. I want to do that. Tell me how.

What you're describing sounds a lot like a neuroma to me. That's an inflamation of the nerve(s) that run along or between the bones in your feet. With pressure and extra wieght or vigorous activity, it gets aggravated. I recommend acupuncture, which is the least invasive thing and probably the least expensive thing to do…

No, all men do not cheat. Many of them do and don't feel bad about it, as if they believe exactly what you've said and that's "normal." I've been cheated on, too, but there are still plenty of men who want their woman to themselves and don't want to share their own body with anyone but her. I have one of those and have for…

True, nobody but me made me fat, but there were a number of contributors, especially my mother, her constant mind-set that she was fat and that I was fat and that I needed to be put on a diet when I was 7 years old. The guilt that came with eating is still with me, robbing me of the ability to just enjoy what I needed for…

I only partially keep it to myself. I have told some freinds, coworkers and my doctors about MFP, but what I find is that folks look more critically at your behavior and point out inconsistencies and failures more than try to be supportive when they know what you're trying to do and how you're trying to do it. My husband…

I asked a very similar question of MFPs yesterday about my 11, almost 12, year-old daughter. It seems some people don't take kindly to the idea of being concerned about whether our kids are weak and obese until they are adults. I don't want it to come to that for my daughter because I know it will be more of a struggle for…

Parsnips are good roasted, too, but they are much higher in carbs than the cauliflower.

The best way to get started with pull-ups is to begin with let-downs. Seriously. Ge a ladder or stool that will get up to the bar so that your arms are already bent and your chin is over the bar, hold yourself in that position while moving the stool out of the way, then try to SLOWLY let yoursefl down. Repeat until you…

Well, how else is it expressed online?! I don't think there's any lack of sincerity in others congratulations, rather a lack of ingenuity in word choice.

My husband avoids talking about my appearance at all unless there is something truly outrageous about it. He has no reason to call me lazy, so that would be unjustifiable, also to be avoided. We just celebrated our 16th anniversary with a nooner, I might add, and are very happy I'm taking his lack of comment as, "no news…
