Hey you are not alone, my Mum is 71 and still runs ( half marathons the lot). Best things she has found are no caffeine, and no fatty foods 48 hours before a race. She also only has porridge for breakfast the day before. Go on runners world bet there are loads of posts to match this :wink:

Been pigs cheeks with carrots, onions and seasoning. Very cheap and very nice - I'm a happy omnivore since I use as much of the animal as possible. (It's also very cheap and freezes well - I don't need to any more but can never quite break the habit .)

I measure most things, it helps you to effectively guesstimate food when you are out. Some times I forget or can't be bothered I'm only on 1200 cals a day (I'm a proper short a*rse) and it doesn't seem to make that much difference. Plus I know here in the UK the details on food packing only have to be 70% accurate.
