Amazing change, You should be really proud! We're the same height with the same SW and goal weight... it's very encouraging to see someone with the same stats look so *fit* rather than a stick! I too am a runner and am noticing the improvements when combined with the right diet... thanks for sharing!!

Wow, very inspiring!!

If you're stuck, a good place to start is the herbs and spices aisle in the supermarket - you can often find some really cool flavours pre-mixed that you simply sprinkle on! I love garlic, black pepper and lemon best on chicken, but you can try pretty much anything :)

This, exactly.

Hiya I've been on MFP for just over a year and have found it really great! Feel free to add me as a friend if you want, I log in daily and am in this for the long haul :) Just log accurately, get moving, and it WILL come off...:flowerforyou:

brilliant! congrats on the huge changes! you look fab :)

Hi Cherbear (and other supporters!) I've been on here for just over a year - lost 36lbs but then put 16 back on when I fell off the wagon so to speak! I log in daily and am a keen runner (hark at me now, a year ago I couldn't manage 30seconds and now I'm training for a Half Marathon!) Anyone is welcome to add me if you…

My jaw literally dropped at seeing those pictures! Seriously, "amazing" doesn't come close to cutting it! You should be so proud - Congratulations :)

At the moment I'm training for a Half Marathon so currently my week stands like this: Mon - Short run (5mile) Tues - Lifting (literally just started last week to compliment the cardio!) Wed - Short run (5mile) Thurs - Lots of walking with school run and Lifting Fri - Shorter run (3-4mile) Sat/Sun - Long distance run…

Wow and congrats to all you ladies! This is very inspiring! I was dreading going out on my jog in a minute... this was exactly what I needed, thank you all!!!

I agree with the others that it depends on your own body shape and to take it step by step and keep re-evaluating. I'm a smidge over 5ft3 and started about where you are now... I was originally aiming for 140lbs, but was really pleased at 147 so hovered there for a while. I have gained back about a stone since that figure…

I've noticed that sometimes if I've lost something smaller like .5lb sometimes my ticker doesn't change as it only shows whole lbs... perhaps that's it?

From what you say it sounds fine to me, but I wouldn't run more than 3 days in a row as, like others have said, you're body needs the recovery time to improve itself. Having said that I don't see how a short jog is much worse than a brisk walk and I know when you've got a lot to lose then people do run 5/6 days a week and…

I've had marmite and super low fat cream cheese on toast/crackers etc.... mmm.... it's very yummy and certainly jazzes up plain cream cheese!
-
Haha LOVE IT!

<Never been able to master uploading pics so have set it as my profile pic :) There's about 2.5 stone difference between the pics

WOW. Seriously, just WOW.

I always err on the side of caution. Both me and hubby have had too many bad experiences with food poisoning to warrant risking anything.

My friend swears by the spray oil too! I started using water instead oil (yes sounds odd I know) by adding about a cm in the bottom of the pan and then putting a lid on until it had evaporated. It's calorie free, keeps all the veggies moist and I found the natural flavours were great. Sometimes I forget and use the oil but…

Wow 70lbs is a mega loss and totally puts my next 20lbs to go into perspective! You look so different already, and I have to agree I saw you in the sparkly dress and that was the "wow" moment from your post. Keep going hun, you've come this far - finish strong! Looking forward to seeing your Goal pics :D

Normally I'd have to wait until after the dinner and bedtime routine. Which normally made it around 9/10pm depending on how the evening was going. There was never any fear of me getting up in the early hours - despite all best intentions I was usually up til 12am finishing chores from the day eg hanging up washing etc, and…

Yes I heard about tapering off the week before the actual race - I'm guessing a couple of shorter ones at the beginning of the week and then a couple of days before the race, rest?
-
Wow this Hal Higdon really seems to be popular! I'll definitely have a look as you can't all be wrong lol :) Any tips regarding the actual race day? I'm worried about starting too fast, and getting 3/4s of the way through and struggling so much I give up :( (I know I won't as I'll walk it if need be but I would like to…

Thanks everyone, it's good to hear that I'm on the right track! The training app a lot of you have mentioned sounds good - I shall have to have a look and see what it' all about. At the moment I tend to do a lot of walking on my non-running days though as hubby's just got a new workbench I've been tempted to add in some…

Managed a 6.7mile run in 1hr40mins which was fab for me :)
-
Wow you look fab hun! Can't even recognise you from the first pics! Well done!!
-
Well done hunny, you'll sail through now I'm sure :)

I too struggled at first and after a few weeks of nearly dying each time I went out, I made a conscious decision to "run" slower during one particular session, and instead of sprinting for the running portions, I jogged at a very comfy pace, and suddenly it all clicked into place! I was told by my serious runner friend…

Welcome! I've been here just over a year and found it invaluable. Make sure you log your food honestly (by which I mean weigh it, don't guess!), and DO log the bad stuff as it's eyeopening sometimes. Take it day as it comes, and soon you will get where you want! Congratulations on the little one, sounds like you have a…
