I like it raw! Cooked spinach leaves this weird feeling in my mouth after I eat it, kind of bitter-squeaky-waxy

My husband's a bear and I love it - big shoulders, strong arms, nothing jiggly anywhere - why is that when he puts on a few pounds it is SOLID and not all wobbly like mine? I'm short and always liked being around guys who were way taller than I am, except when I can't breathe in a crowd of them - no clean air down there!

I work full-time, spend my evenings as a kid taxi (2 sports each, every season), clean, laundry, yardwork, vehicle maintenance, etc. And I find time to go to the gym every day. If it must be done, it can be done. Welcome to the reality of marriage and the real reason multi-tasking is key! It must have been invented by…

Hi - I'm 5'2", highest weight was 230, current weight is 194. I too am looking to get to the magical 150 and hope to do so before my 44th birthday in October. I made this journey once before at your age (started at 225, got to 155) so I feel like an old pro. I kept it off for 5 years before kids and life got so hectic!…

I am a hugger and so is my dog!

It is so hard to cook healthy meals for a family when they don't have the same motivation that we do! Here are some things I try to do to ease the pain for the husband and kids: 1. Cook chicken or fish every day and red meat once a week - if they need a sauce, dip or gravy - just make it but reserve your naked piece before…

I'm keeping a progress collage of pictures - wearing the same clothes so I can see the difference. I have a hard time really seeing the changes myself, and the pictures make it a little easier. I posted once so far, at the halfway point between my highest weight (not my MPF starting weight) and my first major goal - that…

rugged - because I'm one tough Yankee Bear - I'm the momma bear and nobody better mess with my cubs!

Look for the super high-waisted shapers. I get them from Target or Kohl's - they look like super tall underwear (not shorts) and the 'waist' band goes right up under my bra band - smoothing out both the belly roll and that little bump under the bra band. Good luck!

While every body is different, I started at roughly the same size and the changes have been something like this: Size-Weight 22W - 230 20W - 220 18W - 215 16W - 205 14W - 195 For reference, I am 5'2". I also buy all my clothes at the same store - their pants come in three 'fit' options and I buy the same fit every time so…

You can usually get by with tops for a while, but nothing looks or feels worse than droopy pants. My favorite clothing store has an outlet that always has a rack of clearance jeans for $7 - so I usually buy 2 pairs at each new size. I wear them until I can squeeze into the next lower size, then donate them right away so I…

Homemade popcorn with butter and sea salt. I could eat a bushel of it!

You won't know until you try. Works for a lot of things, but I think about it every time I am faced with something new and I am afraid I won't be able to do it. When I think back on all the things I have been able to do, once I tried them, I get inspired to try more new things. And when I really step back and look at all…

I am proud to say I have worked through all my skinny clothes and have had to go out and buy new pants! Went from a 22W to a 14W in the past four months, and I have not been this size for almost 15 years! I conduct almost monthly purges of all the closets in the house because I cannot deal with clutter - so kids clothes,…

We're in NH and I saw a lot of folks out last week when it was in the 40s-50s. My bike is getting ready for new saddle bags and an engine guard right now - so no riding for me! My husband has been jonesing pretty bad and I expect to see his bike polished up and ready to go pretty soon! This is unheard of so early in NH!

Over the weekend, DDD showcased the Skylark Diner in NJ that serves bacon-infused bourbon!

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard - $25 at Vitamin Shoppe, lasts me about a month (1 scoop/day). Love the flavors - not gritty, mixes well with everything. It's all natural as well if that's important to you.

A real singing cowboy - and a hard working, fearless, family man. Now that's the whole package! I wouldn't throw him out of bed for eating crackers

I have two kids and a picky husband to feed, but I've gradually converted them to whole foods with some easy switches in their favorite recipes. I really like: http://outoftheboxfood.com/ http://www.jamieoliver.com/ I stay away from Hungry Girl - while the recipes are low cal/low fat, she uses highly processed foods, IMO.

I think folks are less likely to comment because they don't want to offend. I'm actually disappointed if I see someone I haven't seen in a while and they don't say anything. In a conversation at the office the other day, which I don't visit very often since I work mostly at home - the youngest guy in the group finally…

I was diagnosed with migraines at the age of 9 (I had the visual precursors which prompted a whole lot of neuro testing when I was young). They disappear for years, then come back for a couple of years. The last round was a 40-day long cluster migraine. Yup - every day for over a month, these things would not stop. Doc…

I work at home and go to the gym in the morning. Sometimes I lay down on the bed after I get out of the shower - and have a hard time getting back to work!

Mike Huckabee said it well - he lost a lot of weight by "not eating anything that wasn't considered food 100 years ago". I used to work in the food industry (as an ERP analyst) and got to take a lot of factory tours. There are two kinds of manufacturing - discrete and process. In discrete manufacturing, you take whole…

Dated a guy for a while who started out as a good friend. He told me he really liked me but he was having a hard time dealing with having a fat girlfriend. Buh-bye!
