Looks like a great ride. 20 miles is great, well done. Your average heart rate shows how hard you were working- that mean you are burning more calories- thats great! Those are racing type averages- impressive. I can't push myself that hard anywhere other than racing, for that long. You go girl. I smiled at your question re…

75 miles nonstop and don’t spare the hills! I’m not known for my big mileage days (me…I’m more about speed) so I thought I’d share what will probably be the longest for the year! Distance 74.56 Ave speed 16.5 Cals 1892 Ave HR 134 Max 174 Having raced yesterday, the plan was to do a gentle 2 hours max…. The sun was shining…

For me I find it a great way to finish my routine, as I’m not very disciplined with my stretching. Cardio first, then Pilates

Hiya RedSunshine This looks fun! I will look into this tomorrow. I'm on the bike most days anyway but do try to take a rest day on a Monday. I'm sure a short, slow recovery ride on the Turbo/Stationary bike will be fine for a month, as my normal milage will make up for the other 6 days! Thanks for sharing X

Hows everyone doing with the TRX? I've now done 20 workouts now with my new programme that incorporates some- and i'm beginning to see the benefits. I'm also using a Bosu and weight bag/sandbag. Cant wait to see where i'll be in another 20 workouts!

I love clothes and I have them in sizes ranging from UK 8-18! I had a root though and found some great summer clothes from the last time I got down this far! Some lovely surprises! The sun has been out over here this week and I’ve felt very sassy in the spring sunshine, in my “new” clothes! I’m down to into my smallest of…

Tracey it sounds like you had a great weekend in the sunshine, taking in the scenery and exploring :-) I managed 94 over the weekend my biggest mileage weekend for some time, thanks to the great spring weather. I raced on Saturday but we started in the rain….. it was at Ashbourne! Sunday we did 52 miles, ride time about 3…

I have a new gym program and it includes working on my core strengths/balance and a lean torso. My routine includes a few exercises on the TRX for my abs and gluteus …..and boy do I know its working from the ache I have the following day! I’ve been promised abs of steal, so I’m sticking with it! Like you, i'm new to TRX…

I''m blown away by so many lovely comments, thank you. The dress rocks!

I love crits too. we tend to ride on motor race circuits, so they tend to be technical flat and wide. Bunches of 40-100. That suits me, get tucked in, hide and hang on till the sprint!! I have a crit this weekend. I've alway raced overweight and been one of the fattest in the bunch, it's never stopped me having fun but has…

Chelso0o Great good for you, sounds fun. It's alway nice to have sponsorship! What sort of racing do you do?

TheBigYin With all those commuting miles and clear passion for riding your bike, I’m not surprised you got a score in the BBAR one year! Yep racing as a junior, I remember those halcyon days…………

TRHuston, Congratulations on joining a racing team, how exciting. With a regular 14 mile commute carrying a rucksack each day, you will certainly be building some great base miles. Good for you. 6 events in the year sounds perfect for a newbie. Not too much pressure and something to focus on. Good luck with these and be…

christophenes Just do it! Racing's fun, its why I bother to train. It sounds like you have been getting the miles in which will be great for strength and stamina. A 10 mile TT is a good place to start. It will give you a line in the sand! However bunch races are the business, and where the action is. Ilton is local to you.…

You’ll find more time as the kids grow up, im sure. It’s a great activity to do together, as a family. The events you do have scheduled sound a hoot. Am I correct in assuming, from what you've said, you’re talking Mountain bikes? Yer beating the lads is worth double points, right? Beating the young blades riding on the top…

EnduroT- Cool. hey a race is a race! I’m a roadie sprinter type, I sprint for town signs!! That’s a race, isn’t it? In the UK a local race is know as a Fish and Chipper or Chipper for short(very appropriate for mfp) You know the type, local lads with “All the gear, no idea” hunting for local easy points! Think their racing…

Hey Nice to meet you! I'm a cyclist too and do a bit on the road. Be nice to have some cycling buddies here on MFP. Friend request sent

Respect- dcmat! Did you have to go around the block, to get the .77? It was well windy out there today- that 's assuming you are in the uk?! ( you mentioned the CTC) Enjoy eating those well earned calories. We managed 52 very windy, very hilly in 184mins- i'm happy with that today.

Like you DL over the year I will rack up the miles. For me a ‘long’ ride is more about context, content and company. Frankly the appeal of 7+ hrs, 4mountains and 80+ miles is far more appealing in the sun of Majorcca with friends on a training camp, earning good food and wine, than an 4 hr Sunday Winter club run in the…

From men.... nice car! I'd always hoped they'd notice the curves on my body, rather than the bodywork! Otherwise nice hair, smile or eyes.

Hi Sarah Firstly thank you for taking the time to reply- it was just what I needed. Your advise was great as it reminding me what i'd achieved. You will be pleased to know i made it to the gym for spinning and Pilates last night and have been on the bike for an hour today. I'm back on the exercise! Damage limitation. i…

My target has been to burn 7000 through exercise a mix of cycling, running, gym including running and cross trainer, weights, Pilates. Ive averaged 7028 I plan my programme a week ahead, based…
