  • You look so much younger now! It looks like you took off 20+ years and you didn't even look that big to me in the before pic. Congratulations!
  • Dido on the slow cookers. You can put chicken in with low fat italian dressing and let it cook on low all day while at work. This is really good with some steamed fresh green beans. McCormick has a seasoning packet for slow cooker beef stew and on the back has how to make beef stew. I have put this into the MFP recipe…
  • I am border-line anemic, but didn't know until recently. I started dieting and about the time I lost 5 lbs. I was always cold and tired and had mild headaches. I tried to give blood and they told me my iron was too low to give, which has never happened in the past. So i set my MFP to watch my iron intake and I try to eat…

  • muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less space. Do what your doing for a month or two, and instead of going by your weight, only go by your measurements (hips, chest, waist, neck, thighs). You will notice that your body gets smaller. :)
  • It's normal for your moon to be messed up by weight loss, especially 28 pounds in a month! Great job! Stress and any weight loss pills can effect it too.
  • cons? I don't know what that means. lol
  • yup. used to have it too. My ticker says i have only lost 7 pounds, but thats just since i joined MFP. I have lost 27 altogether. Try to do more chest flies (or with heavier weights) and push-ups. This is said to help with sagging boobs but can HELP with that stubborn area too. Help, not eliminate. Sorry :( I don't know…
  • I think it depends on how sore you are. If it is just slight muscle soreness then power through it. If it is so bad you can't move then take a day off and do some stretching and light exercises. If it's somewhere in between you might do level 1 instead of level 2. You will def notice that you are stronger and that level 1…
  • If your pic is of you, I can't believe you want to lose 80 lbs! Now, don't me wrong, I'm not yelling or anything. You just don't look heavy enough to have to lose 80 lbs. : ) Good luck with your weight loss!
  • yes, always have, always will. Did when i was little when my mom told me not to. Now I figure i may as well, its a waste of calories and food not to. Besides the dog doesn't need any more bowls to lick clean, does she? I should do it for her. :)
  • Woohoo! Ok joining my first challenge on MFP. My name is Kaylan. SW: 176.6 GW: 165
  • sure, just go to your food tab, then click on the sub tab "settings" you can change it to watch whatever you need.
  • I would love to join! So what are you counting as the weigh in day for this challenge?
  • you said you feel full right after only a few handfuls as compared to the whole bag before right? That's a good thing! It is a physical sign to you that you that you are losing weight. You get fuller quicker. I lost 20 lbs last year and after I lost weight I went to a buffet with my family. I lost control and ate whatever…
  • Instead of just weight, see what your BMI is supposed to be. Are you in a healthy range?
  • Make sure you don't get rid of all your bigger clothes. Some day when you are bloated from periods or some food you are going to want a bigger pair of jeans or some day you are just going to want a huge t-shirt to lounge comfy in the house. Congratulations! It's such an accomplishment to be able to fit into your skinny…
  • I think it's all pretty much common sense I've known since I was. like, 10
  • Eat more calorie dense foods if you feel you need them. When cooking your eggs, use a tablespoon of olive oil instead of spraying the pan with the zero calorie stuff. With your apple or orange have a handful or two of your favorite kind of nut, walnuts and almonds are best. If you like sweets, have a small sized bar of…
  • Yes, weight loss will affect it but so will other factors. (Of course i agree with the other girl too that said that if it continues for too long to have a doctor check it out) Other factors could be: Menopause starting. I know you aren't that old right, you don't look it too me anyway. But for me the women on both my…
  • Typically I do not eat back my exercise calories. You will lose weight fast that way but you can eat back the calories if you want, that is more of a weight maintenance ting. The less calorie you eat back, the more you lose. However if you are allowed over 1900 calories and you are comfortable eating 1600, it sounds as…
  • Wait. How do you know what my goal weight is? I don't have a signature or a ticker and its not on my profile page.
  • I'm just lucky I guess. :D I set my MFP to lose 2 lbs a week, so I eat 1200 calories a day. I do a ten minute workout in the morning right when I get up in the morning before I hit the shower. I try to drink 10 cups of water a day. I do like sweets so I tend to eat a lot of fruit (instead of candy), which fruit is still a…
  • Yes I lose a pound a day and I will hit my goal weight loss next week. That is my first goal then I will reset my setting for a lower weight. I have a thing where if I set it too low it seems impossible so I do it by how much I want to lose by something happening. For example, I set this goal weight based on my boyfriend…
  • Sure you are burning calories because of the BMR and all that. But the other question asked is why are you more hungry when studying. I have found that: 1.) Studying is boring (well it depends on the subject). When bored, what is usually the top things that, as Americans, we do to keep our hands occupied? Eat. Our body…
  • I'm sorry but you can most certainly lose weight in certain spots if that is what you want. For the lower belly do reverse crunches, bicycle crunches, and do this: (I say this because I don't know what they are called sorry!) Lay on your back on the floor and raise you knees to a 90 degree angle, put your arms flat out to…
  • I would say you do need to watch the carbs because they turn into sugar and then fat. Some carbs and sweets are fine and if thats what makes you happy, go for it. However try to chose healthy carbs and to eat a little less if possible, Like whole grain and bananas. Try to tell yourself, "Well I can have a sandwhich with…
  • i weigh first thing in the morning before i do anything else but only track it if there is a loss. i tend to gain a pound or so over the weekend when it seems the lack of a timed schedule keeps me off track for my eating right. I usually lose it and then some throughout the week though, so i dont stress to much about it.
  • go to settings and update diet/fitness profile. after you put in the info like how much weight u want to lose then it will tell u how many calories to eat a day.
  • Make sure you drink a bottle of water before you eat anything. It will help fill you up and therefore take less food to make you feel fuller. Celery is good because it actually has negative calories once it's through your body and it is filling, but most people don't like raw celery plain. Smearing it with peanut butter or…
