What worked for us was "small tweaks" now granted, progress wont be as dramatic but your moving in the right direction. Swap out ground turkey for ground beef, sweet potato fries instead of regular etc. Another strategy I used was doing a meal replacement in lieu of one of the meals. You can cut a chunk of calories out of…

Hey Brian, replied to your email but ill post here too. The Beachbody programs typically have different focuses. Insanity is pure cardio and not alot of focus on muscle development, so if you depend on the scale for motivation...Insanity will be your new best friend. It is intense, but just keep moving, even if your…

Ok...first the disclaimer, im a Beachbody coach (Basically just to get the shakes at the discounted price) My body doesn't seem compatible with Shakeology either. It was pretty much the worst imaginable pain I have experienced. Being in the Marines and working my best to develop a "iron stomach" didnt seem to help lol. Now…

What I have come to realize is that the big obstacle when you hit 40 is that recovery time is lengthened somewhat. I noticed this when I was doing some MMA training, the "kids"…

Yep, I eat all of these...maybe an add would be whole grain toast with almond butter. my normal staple is a bowl of unflavored oats, i dump some cinnamon in there (that helps regulate sugars as well) . I also do a shake with a low gyclemic index on occasion.

The soreness is a challenge, and hear you on the running...its sunny and blue sky outside but about 30 degrees...grrr and brrrrrr! One of my motivations is looking forward to running on a nice spring day without all the giggle!
