I'm over 400 pounds and just joined and started going to a gym this past week. Everyone has been great so far. I haven't heard any comments but I don't think it would bother me anyway. I'm not going there to make them happy so I couldn't care less what they think.

Yep, me! I started way over 300 at 461. Down to around 400 now (been stuck between 398 and 408 for about a month now  ) This site works...when you stick to it. I find that I do much better when I login to MFP frequently (multiple times a day).

1. I'm a computer geek.:glasses: 2. I buy a new car every 1-2 years (not smart financially) 3. I just turned 40 :grumble: 4. I started getting gray hair in high school. :ohwell: 5. I hate it when people say "could care less" when they really mean "couldn't care less" (drives me insane  )

Ditto for most of the reasons mentioned (aside from the ones related to kids...don't have any). I also want to do one of the race car experiences where you get to drive the car around the track a few laps. There's no way now I could even begin to get into the car since you have to climb through the window. I think it would…

My profile pic is me at around age 7 or so. Don't you just love those glasses :noway: . I was very skinny back then (that changed a couple years after this picture).

Highest was 461. I felt like crap all the time. Currently at 401 and still feel like crap :frown: Seriously, at 461 I really did feel bad almost all the time except when I was stuffing my face full of fattening, crappy fast food (didn't really think about feeling bad then until after the meal...). I feel better now but I…

Obese...overweight...I don't care if people call me that. I certainly know I'm obese. It's not like it's a big (no pun intended  ) secret. I can't really hide that fact. Having said that, very few people have ever called me obese, fat, or overweight. I find that most people don't want to be confrontational so they…
