  • Very cool! I bet that felt awesome! WTG!
  • Thank you all so much!!
  • This works for me too, that and I tell them about my goal of looking HOT in a two piece on the beach this summer.
  • Oh dear I just had flash backs to my pregnancy reading this post!! LOL - My ex was not a nice "biological contributor" even made me attempt to hold it for 2 hours on a road trip when I was about 34 weeks preggers. Let's just say he was lucky to have leather seats and I am lucky to now live 1600 miles away. Failure to…
  • Work out and feel better, it's only a one time thing and don't beat yourself up about it!
  • Somewhere between 130 & 140 would be ideal. I've been lighter as a teenager, but I had to work out like an animal and eat very little to maintain it, so I'm hoping that even with a slower 30's metabolism I can achieve and maintain 135ish.
  • Really cool idea!
  • Same here for me, digging into my old skinny clothes I coultn't bear to part with = Fun!!! But I did have to go buy all new undergarments after a few months. Now I'm hoping to double my weight loss and do it all over again. Great progress, keep up the good work =-)
  • My grandpa gave me this nickname with I was 3ish and called me it for as long as I can remember =-) Good memories, he passed a little over a year ago so every time I log in I'm reminded of him.
  • Same here for me - I like LEI (now at Walmart) but they are usually low-rise, which works for me but may not for others. I also have some Curvy Boot Cut jeans from Ann Taylor Loft that I found on clearance that fit like a gem and are mid-rise.
  • I am in a similar situation although the roles are reversed. We've been together for 7 1/2 years, married for 3. I was honest from day 1 that I did not want to have more children, I have one from a previous relationship, and my husband was ok with it. We re-opened the issue shortly before marriage and again agreed that we…
  • Odd to read the replies and see how different each of our experiences are with MFP. I am 5'8 at 160 lbs with a 1200 daily calorie limit to lose 2 lbs per week. My BMR is much higher, about 1800 but I stick with my daily allowance. I always eat back the calories I earn with exercise and I stay full, most of the time. I've…
  • When my thighs no longer blister from friction in the summer and my bottom leaves the seat of a roller coaster!!
  • More water, protein and whole grains (read fiber). Also, if you're just starting give yourself a couple weeks to adjust to the reduction in calories and try to sleep a little more if you can. You're body will adjust to the difference in diet and you'll stop feeling starved over time especially if you rest and stay hydrated.
  • Also, MFP only wants you to lose 2 lbs per week because that is what dieticians have determined as "healthy weightloss" though not fast enough for most of us :-)
  • I'm 5'8 and want to lose 20 to 25 lbs, I was given a total of 1200/day. Its rough not gonna lie, but after 2 1/2 weeks I've adjusted and results are showing on the scale and in my clothes. Good luck!!
  • I'm almost 3 weeks in and 12 lbs down, I love MFP! I am in need some friends who understand how hard it is to stick with it and encourage me I still have a ways to go.
  • Welcome! I'm fairly new to this as well and I LOVE it! Going over is no fun, good for you to be back on track and sticking with it!!

  • Then you didn't correctly explain to them how this site works. You already have a deficit created through diet alone. So when you exercise, MFP adds those calories back to maintain your original deficit. If you don't eat those extra calories you are not fueling your body correctly for your actual activity levels, and as I…
