Indoors: T-shirt, sports bra, cotton underwear, black exercise pants, comfy socks, running shoes. Outdoors: As above, plus sunblock and warm, windproof clothing if it's cold. I'm way to self-conscious to wear shorts, ever. Nobody wants to see my big, winter-white legs :blushing:

Don't have a scale at home, but I use one at the gym.

Yes, you should definitely eat something before hitting the town. In the absence of food, heavy drinking can cause hypoglycemia. I'd recommend something with both protein and complex carbs (wholegrain pasta is a great idea), and also something that you've eaten before just in case a new food disagrees with you.

Unless you're on a low-sodium diet, there's nothing wrong with using a saltshaker. The biggest salt minefields are store-bought processed foods, and many of the highest-sodium foods don't even taste particularly salty. Are you using pre-made soups, sauces, and stocks in your cooking? Could you substitute a lower-sodium…

My preference is at the crack of noon. If forced to get up earlier, I need the assistance of several cups of coffee.

We had a secret Santa exchange at work. Just before the party, I hurriedly wrapped my gift, wrote a Happy Holiday message in the card, and placed both under the communal tree. When the recipient got my gift, she first tried to guess who the giver was. Somebody called out. "Look at that handwriting! That's from a GUY for…

I don't want to hear the neverending opinions of judgey people. Unless they're actively soliciting feedback, a person's food diary is their own private business.

If I'm at home I usually eat leftovers from last night's dinner. For work/school, I usually bring a frozen dinner plus some fresh fruit and a dessert. I'm not a sandwich fan.

Give her a date night. If money is no object, offer to buy tickets to the event of her choice, followed by a romantic dinner. If you're on a budget, give her gift certificates for DVDs, pizza and popcorn.

My mom is super-extroverted and super-emotional. My sister followed in her footsteps, and I went in the complete opposite direction. I found putting a large geographic distance between us improved our relationship dramatically. My mom is all about Feelings, which drives me nuts. If we're walking down the street, she…

I won't try any raw-fish ones. I've heard too many horror stories that began with raw meat or fish. I do enjoy sushi with with cooked or fruit/veggie fillings.

Interesting question. The blood bank always asks what medications the donor is on, but I've never had anyone ask me about recent alcohol use. They blood service doesn't seem too concerned about it. Blood is usually separated into components, and multiple compnents may be given to multiple receivers depending on different…

Attractions: a nice smile, a good listener, and a good sense of humour. Turn-offs: someone who is critical, gossipy or judgemental

There's no reason to be paranoid. Only your feet touch the shower floor, and you can protect them by wearing flip flops.

Rinsing canned veggies and beans with water will eliminate some of the sodium.

The problem might be the other ingredients that you're consuming alongside those "0 sugars". They're not a license to eat more stuff in general. I just bought some No Sugar Added chocolates and 3 pieces have 240 calories!

I find it's got a very strong (licorice? herb?) taste of its own. Some people like it, but personally I can't stomach it. I've tried the Stevia-sweetened sodas and didn't enjoy those either. If you've never tried it before, I'd suggest sampling a single serving first.

Half your body weight in water? That sounds dangerous!:noway:

I have the same frustration. Eventually I figured I just couldn't win with pottassium and gave up on tracking it:happy: . I don't know about elsewhere, but in North America food labels don't include data for pottassium. So a food may still contain pottassium but will be listed on MFP as 0 pottassium. You can find the…

Pumpkin pie! I use the recipe that comes on RW Knudsen canned pumpkin, but I make mine with extra ginger and an extra sprinkle of nutmeg and cloves, and puree the pumpkin mix in the blender before pouring into the pie shell. Yum!

I like the long walks idea. If he likes to socialize, he can do both at the same time. Or maybe you could get him interested in taking a dance class? Then he'll get to enjoy music and people, with exercise as a bonus!

I hate watching TV shows in the internet and the SAME FRICKIN' COMMERCIAL pops up over and over and over again. If I ever see that Jamieson;s commercial with the giant hawk one more time I'm going to scream. OK it was kind of funny the first time. But why does the :commercial break" consist of the same commercial twice in…

People scare me more than anything else :frown: Irrational, impulsive, narcissistic and over-emotional people frighten me because there's absolutely no way to reason with them. No matter what you do, people like that are always convinced that they're right.

Haha, yeah, most experienced doctors and nurses have a rule: "You automatically multiply by three the number of drinks the patient claims to have daily."

I sympathize with you! I have hallux valgus (bunions) with both big toes, and wear men's size 9 runners. I can't wear the narrower women's shoes because they feel like having barbed wire wrapped around my toe joint:explode: When I buy a new pair I still have to try on 5-6 different ones because it's very difficult to find…

I like flavoured sparkling water, especially lime or grapefruit. For plain water, I'd rather turn it into green tea or herbal tea.
