  • LogCabin go to Community, groups and search for Weight Watchers. There are several groups listed there.

  • My sentiments exactly. I birthday gifted myself for my 60th with my first ~ a beautiful hummingbird. I may get another if I find something I really want.
  • I have a friend that has a weekly MAD - metabolism adjusting day where she allows herself something totally out of kelter from her normal way of eating. She doesn't deprive herself any day but on that one day she may have a really homestyle breakfast with extra calories or something extremely special. She has lost almost…
  • Love it ~ giving thanks for everything HE has provided.

  • Too much of any good thing is bad. Too much fiber does that to me but if I regulate it and stay within my limits I'm fine.
  • No Kathy it is NOT too late. I didn't start Weight Watchers until I was age 60 and lost 45.8# in one year through very hard work, lots of prayer and mostly God's help. We (You) can do it if we really want to be healthier and feel better about ourselves. I have no doubt that you can do it but now YOU must have faith in…
  • December 28, 1948 - and no my parents never slighted me at Christmas. In fact I had Christmas, birthday and New Years just like all the other kids.
  • I love that scripture. God don't make junk!

  • My first-footer was my grandson. He brought me joy & love and the exuberance only a 9yr old boy with a new toy can bring.
  • Awesome message in that scripture. Amen!

  • My wish is to lose weight in the endeavor to be healthier. At age 64 if I don’t do it now, and keep it in line, I’ll have a hard time in the next 20 - 30 years. I want to be a good example to my children & grandchildren and my friends. I say I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and I need to live it! I…
  • Sister Bobbie - good morning. I'm thankful that I did what I felt I was supposed to do then. I pray you have a wonderful day and a totally blessed year ahead. :flowerforyou:
  • My first goal is to get back to eating properly and staying within my caloric budget. I work in Customer Service Center in a large grocery store so while I'm not out walking miles on end I am fairly active for 4 - 8 hrs daily. I want to incorporate a 2 - 3 mile walk 2 - 3 times per week and if my schedule is right I can do…
  • I don't diet, I made lifestyle changes for a lifetime making adjustments in what I eat and my activity levels to compensate for special treats and indulgences. Diet = die Lifestyle change = life
  • Hi Melanie - I am here and would love to continue to contribute to this ministry. Sorry I let the ball fall but I let life and the hurry scurry of it get in my way. I'll get with you via email and see how you want to do this. Much love to you and your family for a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous, healthy year ahead.…
  • I am thankful that I get to work today - that means that I have a job. In fact I'll work both jobs today. Too many people are out of work to gripe about getting to work.
  • You must have been reading my mind. I have thought all day, trying to figure out how to approach this issue. I am a semi-retired, age 63, Nana of two beautiful grandchildren. I joined WW June 2008 and lost 46.8# in one year to make Lifetime July 2009. I held that for almost one year but like you had family tragedy. My…
  • When I remarried I kept my ex's last name because I had a child. When I remarried I hyphenated my last name and my new husband was in no way threatened nor did he feel disrespected. I guess he was confident enough in himself that it didn't bother him. Also, many women have degrees, professional certificates, and such with…
  • I am very leery about adding people online - especially if there isn't a human picture. Of course people can put fake pictures up so that really isn't a true gauge. I watch the comment board to see how they react with others and the general attitude before I accept in the beginning because I don't want to hurt anyone's…
  • Woody you have made a very giant step toward getting yourself in better health. It isn't about a number on that little piece of plastic & metal in our floor it is about the numbers seen when we have blood work and other medical tests done. Are you healthy? Do you want to be healthy? If so you can make it work. And it is…
  • You have an amazing story. Congratulations! Remember this new lifestyle is for a lifetime. WE must keep eating healthy and stay active or it will come back to us. With the determination & resolve you have shown you will do well with your maintenance program. BRAVOS to you :flowerforyou:
  • There is nothing like good, old home style Tex-Mex to get a Texas gal going. Well unless it is fried catfish, chicken or hotdogs. So I limit myself to once a month and decide which I want the most. Gotta say the Tex-Mex usually wins out, hands-down because I love the salsa and jalapenos. From 1994 - 1999 I drove an…
  • Age 63, Gulf Coast of Texas - halfway between Galveston & Houston
  • I love this one! Seems the ones most annoyed with this thread are the most annoying.
  • That and 'my old lady'. That makes my blood boil. But Hubby, Wifey - neither bother me but don't ever remember my Darling Husband every calling each other either of those names. We were Momma & Daddy or Nana & Papa which I know drives some nuts. Of course my DH passed away 2 1/2 yr ago so I'd even love to hear him call me…
