  • I love New Balance shoes! I have NB cross trainers. NB are made a little wider so you some times go down a size in them. Plus when you lose weight you can also lose a half size to a full size in shoes. :) You are currently a Sprinter so that makes you an official runner :) I'm a sprinter too. I like to do a quarter mile…

  • I was so psyched when I saw the trailer! Looks spooky! I like spooky. Does nayone know if it's the same director as the Order of the Phoenix?
  • yeah! It's a little shocking the first time you weigh in and the hear the Wii say "That is overweight." but it's also kind of funny. I weigh in almost every morning and love being able to see my progress!
  • "The Half Blood Prince" opens in July. Was thinking it could be fun if there are any Oregonians on the board that are fans to plan a group movie outing. We could also, once all meeting in one place, discuss fitness type outings. I used to organize events for a DC chat board and we had a blast like once a month. Would be…

Below is from your profile: "My name is Aisha, i'm persian, and i just started my freshman year of college. i'm studying microbiology with a premed focus. i've been trying to lose the same 15 pounds for almost 2 years.i've been on and off on this website for a while. • Two pounds a week is do-able and healthy.
  • I heard about some kind of photobucket ruckus a few months back. Private photos were used some how or something like that. I can't remember exactly. I'm sure you can Google it and find it. Most folks I know use Flickr.
  • Richard Simmons has a bunch of DVD's out. The only I don't like is the Latin one. I found it difficult to follow. I used his DVD's a few years back and lost eight pounds in like a week or two. It was pretty mazing.
  • I know! A milkshake alone can be almost an entire days worth of calories! And I was really surprised by Arby's. I had always considered them one of the healthier fast food chains.

  • The WiiFit is what got my partner and I on track. We love ours! It really keeps your results visual with progress charts and daily weigh ins. And there's My Fitness Coach which is less expensive.

  • Did you click on the number box and then scroll through the inches choices?
  • Suggestion: When I find something this fab I copy and paste it into an email to myself. It's faster and you can keep a fitness folder in your email box.
  • I'm short so hated my elliptical. Spent 400 on it and ended up giving it away. I now have a recline bike and love it. It works my abs as well as my the rest of my lower body, is easy on the knees and burns significant calories. Also takes up less room than a treadmill. I read recently that ellipticals are not a very good…

  • My friend TJ loads soda cases on pallets filling orders for one of the big soda companies. She has biceps that would mak Arnold Schwarzeneger look twice. She got on our WiiFit and according to her BMI she's over weight. She is so buff. She really has no weight to lose. I think the BMI scale can be harmful.

  • Lettuce has hardly any calories at all so double checking that would be a wise move  My ginormous salad with way more dressing and croutons was only like 400 calories. BUT this is because I had pickled beets, a butt ton of baby corn and croutons.

  • Jack In The Box was the calorie killer for me a couple weeks ago. My meal was over my total allowed calories for the day. :noway: If you have a Burgerville in your area check them out! Their burgers are lower in calories and super tasty.
  • That is huge!!!!! Congratulations!
  • Dave198 has some really good points. Sugar is one of the woerst things you can do when trying to quit smoking. Somethings that you can do to help your body and curve cravings are: Eat bananas. You need the potassium. Turkey on white sandwiches triggers chemicals in your brain that help out by keeping cravings at bay. It's…
  • Yay on the 10's! That's great! Freecycle is a Yahoo Group started to keep stuff out of landfills. Members post things they want to get rid of and post for items they want. All is free and it's pretty much nationwide.
  • I'm on my way to pick up four garbage bags full of clothes in sizes 4 through 8 from a fellow Freecycler. That should keep me in clothes while I work toward my target weight! My old clothes are so big. Anything exciting happening today in your neck of the woods?
  • I have been eating Lean Cuisines, salads and fruit :) Every time I mention the LC it seems someone says watch the sodium count on those but honestly it's really not bad. And it's been working.
  • Love your positive attitiude! The only thing I would add to the list is cut out all sugary drinks. They have been proven to add pounds faster since they are metabolised quicker. :drinker:
  • New friends Cool stuff that came in the mail Relationship with my sister :)
  • Here's the first few in no particular order: Wolf: Wolf folks are natural teachers. They can be leaders or followers but always possess the natural ability to teach with ease. Highly adaptable. • What your favorite animal is says a lot about your personality. If you'd like to know what post your favorite animal and then later tonight or tomorrow I'll post a list of answers to the animals that everyone posted. (I'll do individual answers if I have time.)

  • I just had the image of you attempting to place a gentle leader on a Boston mix. They have to have a snout for it to work! I know we are talking about your other dog but still.... My cattle dog hates his gentle leader but it works!
