  • Eating Whole Food is the way to true health. Fruits and vegetables literally saved my life. The nutritional powers at be say we need to be eating 7-13 servings a day... I take a whole food supplement backed by research to help me meet that goal everyday, it's totally changed health. I see it in my skin, my hair, my nails…
  • Have you tried a 12 step group for eating disorders? OA.org is wonderful and anorexics and bullemics are welcomed. It helps deal with the "whys" not just the hows.
  • Whenever a recipe calls for milk, I use the almond milk instead. I love it!
  • I've always wanted to write to "What not to wear" and get a $5000 wardrobe makeover!!
  • I've heard its tons of fun! Here's the website to buy the DVDs.... I'm thinking of getting them for my new home gym! Good luck! www.zumba.com
  • Wow, what an improvement! You are really making a difference in your body!
  • It's important to eat fruit in its whole form everyday. As long as it contains the natural fibers (not juiced) along with the sugar, you will be just fine. Fiber slows the rush of sugar into the blood stream. The NIH recommends 7-13 servings of fruits and vegetables a day... 3-4 should be fruit.
  • I love a sweet potato just baked in the oven like a baked potato. I cut it in half when done (about an hour at 350) and I add a tsp of smart balance butter, and a tsp of honey with a little sea salt.
  • I love fruit smoothies in the morning! A cup of unsweetned rice or almond milk, frozen fruit of your choice, a little ice and a scoop of protein powder... yummy! i also add baby spinach (turns it green, but you can't even taste it) and freshly ground flax seed.
  • I love Marrianne Williamson... another good one is Louise Hay... She's like a wonderful, nuturing mother who says all the things you wished would have been said to you as a child.
  • Thanks for the post Cynthia! I know how hard it is to get the family switched over... my husband fought it for a long time... now he's on board thank God! We use a whole food supplement that really helps too. It's not only how we look on the outside that defines health, it's really important on what our insides look like!…

  • This is such a good question. I had the same question too. I always thought exercise was in addition to the calorie reduction, not part of it. Then I started looking at it from a different angle... as being rewarded for exercising each day! If I exercised I got to eat a little more that day... not a lot more... I "earned"…
  • Being unemployed can be stressful, if you want to be employed. As part of our ancestral biology, stress increases the cortisol output, and starts the body conserving fat for "the big event", like a famine or dinosaur attack, etc. So stress can literally make us fat... when I'm under stress I take extra care to work out…
  • Vegetables are cleansing, and you are having a cleansing reaction, which is good! It's starting to move the sludge in your bowels. Try adding a fiber supplement or enzyme supplement to help things move along for awhile. Once you're through this, you will feel great! Hang in there!
