  • I'm going to start this DVD tonight. I'm also planning to run though... I was thinking of doing the beginning level and then going out to run a quick mile around the neighborhood. Hope I can still run after doing the video!
  • I work in the city too and walk everywhere.... Can you swap to a back pack and weigh it down more? Heavier loads burn more calories. What about lunch? Do you get a lunch break? Walk at lunch or do the stairs in your building (if they have any) stop using the elevator. Go out on all breaks and walk around.
  • This^^^ however I wouldn't mind my body looking like Tianna Ta's in or out of season. Though I don't aspire to look like some of them, they still all look great! Embrace individuality... I want to look how I want to look and still think they look awesome! More power to them for achieving the look THEY want. :drinker: Now…
  • Definitely - every wedding is planned on a budget. I would have just very nicely said due to financial constraints we can not accomodate that many people. I would not take out a loan to foot the bill for uninvited guests.
  • Yeah - I find frozen spinach ends up with so much ice in it that it doesn't cook the same as fresh no matter what you do. I like fresh spinach and it keeps pretty well. I'm addicted to those steamfresh veggie mixes though - quick and easy - good stuff!
  • I'm only 5'2....... don't wear heals much but I've just never been attracted to shorter men. I tried to date someone who was about 5'5 once and just couldn't do it. My husband is 5'9 and x's have all been at least that or taller.
  • When I jog outdoors I make sure there are a lot of people around and I have a whistle and my keys to use as a weapon... There's a heavy police presence there as well. I make sure my husband and friends know where I went and when I left and when I should be back. I always wonder why people I know personally feel safer in…
  • All of it... I look to see what people are doing... wearing... I just people watch when I do cardio, I can't help it unless there's something else to distract me. Usually what's on TV isn't interesting enough so I look at everyone and everything. I'm not so watchy if I'm doing strength training, unless it's between sets,…
  • Haha - the PF I go to is very busy anyway. I saw no diff from before Jan 1 till now - same busy gym. I've yet to be there for pizza Monday... maybe tonight, but by the time we get there I'm sure there won't be any... staff says by like 530 you are SOL, so I'll probably never ever see it.
  • I used to think that till I went to a few with groups of people. The men weren't all drooling over the women, in fact many were engrossed in conversations and not really paying much attention, I think I was paying more attention. The girls also didn't seem the least bit overly interested in anyone in the crowd and were…
  • This^^^ though for us as a couple= Neither of us frequent those places unless it were some sort of special occasion which we have no issue with... I haven't been in one in years and neither has my husband. I don't see what the big deal is about that type of thing unless your spouse is some sort of strip club addict. We…
  • A thief? ... if your spouse can be "stolen" they weren't "yours" to begin with... we're people with minds of our own not inanimate helpless objects.
  • That's sad.....I find it pitiful a woman could make such an *kitten* out of herself after being told outright he was spoken for, and in your presence none the less... I wouldn't be angry, that has to be a sad girl to act that way. When I see a woman like that it makes me want to give her a # for a shrink or hand her a self…
  • This exactly. I talk to men when I'm out with the girls - all innocent. I talk to men when I'm with my husband too and he talks to women... mostly it's people we already know, but if a man hit on me when my husband was say in the bathroom, he'd probably just be amused. It's about boundaries and trust. My husband knows I…
  • I don't know why women get so hung up on how other women look at the gym. I just turned 40. If I am leaving the house - before I go I usually - shower and do my make up. It's routine. I go to gym on my lunch hour or after work and don't wash my face off first since I will be showering after. I also try to coordinate my…
  • Shorts and flip flops... I hate hate socks and shoes... my feet want to be free.
  • You don't know that's true or not. Someone tailgated a friend during a snowstorm - 1 lane road. He stopped in the middle of the road got out and got in the guys face to confront him - the guy of course was like sorry and apologized profusely out of fear (friend is a bigger muscley guy). You just never know who it is you're…
  • Definitely go.... not to party with your X.... not to make him jealous... but to support your friend who invited you - his brother since it's his wedding and that's who it's all about.
  • This is immature and dangerous. Doing that to the wrong person could have horrific results. People need to grow up. Just let them pass. This isn't a driving game and you don't know who's in that vehicle you're messing with.
  • (strictly talking multilane highways here) Here the left highway lanes are actually passing lanes and you are supposed to move over if someone is trying to pass. It's called common courtesy. It's really none of your business why someone wants to pass... you aren't the police... maybe they have an emergency, maybe they DO…
  • I agree. I hate the parking lot stalkers. I park in the back and walk - it's better for me. Unless you're handicapped, parking lot stalking is pure laziness - especially in smaller lots.
  • It's not just smokers - really look at the side of the highway - it's cans, bottles, trash - I mean really - it's disgusting. You shouldn't throw ANYTHING out the window.
  • Happened just this morning... People who decide to just suddenly stop in a driving lane to let someone out with NO directional or hazards on - just stop in the middle of lane @ a green light. Rude all about me driving at its best. My husband laid on the horn as we barely had room to get around them due to them non…
  • I am married... I would hope eventually your changes for the better will rub off on your wife. You need to sit down and have an honest conversation - people get defensive when they feel like they are being attacked or overly criticized even if your intent isn't to come off that way, sometimes the others perception is you…
  • This^^^ when my husband doesn't eat it all... Today I brought leftover brown rice, veggies, and swordfish. I also keep peanut butter singles in my desk - apple and one of those is good for a light lunch and I keep granola here to add to my morning yogurt.
  • I've always been a pretty healthy weight and never been attracted to heavier/obese men... Never minded a few extra pounds but that's about it. My husband has about 20 extra pounds on him right now and I don't care - it doesn't make him any less attractive to me - but he's my husband who I love for so many reasons aside…
  • Hmmmm - well I actually prefer that you just come out and say it! It's refreshing and I respect that. Just because it's not my thing doesn't mean you're wrong and I'm right.
  • This is true - and you are right, that is my own definition of marriage... others have a different definition. I just think personally that those who say "it's just sex" and "it doesn't mean anything" are kidding themselves - it absolutely means something and if it weren't important/significant than you wouldn't do it.…
  • Husband and I met.... 3 mos later he said we should live together which sort of scared the crap out of me... 2 mos later we kind of did live together but more back and forth as I wasn't able to fully let go of my own place... 6 mos later he proposed... 3 mos after that we got married and both moved out of our respective…
