I was just at Punk Rock Bowling in Vegas, got to see the almighty Turbonegro, as well as the tail end of Lagwagon's set. The festival is definitely getting bigger, the festival shows as well as many club shows sold out fast this year.

Caught Ghost the other night (2nd time) They actually weren't that impressive. Saw Ides of Gemini & Demon Lung last night (Ides opening on Ghost tour, but they had off-tour club show). Both bands were heavy doom ala Sleep/Earth

I wish I could do that regularly! I aim for 70% + in fat, but usually it's more like 55-60%. I just love meat too much.

I wouldn't be worried about looking for just protein so much, IMHO you should be looking for fatty things, that's what makes LCHF work. Upping protein is easy, upping your fat is hard! I don't work out much, but for some reason when I do, it's something by Dillinger Escape Plan, or Overkill. DEP if I want something high energy, and Overkill if I want something anthemic.

Yes! Low carb diet plus intermittent exercise (activities mostly, like walking, golf, bowling) helped me lose 100 in about 13 months.

It's very possible for some, if you're heavy enough at the start. I lost just a tad over 100 in a year, and could have done better if I had stuck with a strict regimen. I lost 50lbs in the 1st 3 months, then 54lbs in the next 9. I still have another 50+ to go, and I will be thrilled if I can average 5lbs a month. Good luck!

I would say 1200 is borderline low for someone who's 193, but my guess is that eventually you'll get more of an appetite. I had days where I ate only 14-1500 (when I weighed 300), but now I can't go through a day with that little.

Have you tried running on grass? I go down to my local softball field and jog around the perimeter of the outfield. I don't have a treadmill and am too cheap to pony up for a gym membership. Pavement and cement are too tough on my knees, but I find that grass is cushiony enough to let me get 3-4 miles in before the aches…

As far as water goes, I'd say aim for at least 2 litres as a minimum, but 3-4 being ideal. I can't do 3-4 every day; have to pee so much it interferes with my activities.
