Good luck to you & have fun! Nope, not doing the one on May 1....too close to the one I just finished ;-) Might do the RnR in San Antonio in November!

Actually I haven't had any knee problems. I'm not an expert, but I credit it to the type of cross training I do. I attend a body works class at my gym (it's a toning & sculpting class --so we work upper body and lower body at the same time --think squats and lunges with hand weights) twice a week and I think that strength…

If you have 33 days to go and you are up to 5 miles, that's not bad at all. Are you on a training program? I just googled "half marathon training" and looked through a few. You do need to build up to some longer endurance runs. I really didn't have a specific strategy! Any time I ran/jogged for at least 5 or 6 miles, my…

Thank you! I honestly wish I would have progressed from a 5k to a 10 or 15k and THEN the half. I really want to do some 10 & 15ks. But my boyfriend really wants me to do another half in November. My reasoning for 10 & 15ks is to gain more confidence on those types of runs so that I can improve if, and when, I decide on…

That is awesome girl! Enjoy & celebrate those NSVs ;-)

The pineapple Chobani is the BEST!!!! It's so good it almost feels like a dessert ;-)

"I'm Shipping Up to Boston" from DropKick Murphys (from "The Departed" soundtrack).... AWESOME song, BEYOND awesome movie. That song is THE song that gives me my second wind on long runs (or during speed drills) since I'm training for my first half marathon. I HAVE to have something hard and fast to get me MOVING! Also-…

Me too! But then again, I can't stand Kaylee.... GO HOME ALREADY!!!!

I'm on BL overload/burnt out! I don't care about anyone on the show and Moses and his daughter get on my nerves....She needs to go home. I love how Allison was like "this isn't a prison..... you are all free to leave at any time...." Glad the BF and I watch it on the dvr so we can fast forward through all the annoying…

I second this!!!!!

I feel ya! I hate my job too and all I can do it count down the hours to the end of each day. And then I mark that day off my calendar...
-
Awesome job, Jason! You've definitely worked hard!

I can totally related. I was overweight/obese my ENTIRE life. At my heaviest, I was 265 lbs and I'm only 5' 1.5" tall. I wore 22/24s and on a few occassions, even 26/28s. I've lost *almost* 130 lbs (129.2 lbs to be exact ;-) and I've 1 lbs away from my "realistic" goal and then 5 more lbs away from my eventual goal but I…

*LOVE* this ;-)

At the gym....in spin class :-) True story! We were friends first but he kept asking me out. He's 12 years younger than me. We've been together almost 3 years.

LOL! Thanks for the laugh ;-) Always need it on a Monday morning!

So proud of you, your hard work and all of your progess. So honored to have you on my friends list ;-)

It's hard when you have to look for short or petite styles. As much as I love TJ Maxx and Ross, it's hard to come by anything not "regular". Target, Kohls, & Old Navy are great for short/petite sizes. For work trousers/nicer pants, I really love Van Heusen (if you have an outlet mall near you). Go when they have great…

I normally almost always go for the crunchy or extra crunchy...then I fell in love with Skippy Natural peanut butter creamy with HONEY...YUM!

I think I'm suffering from BL burn out! I too haven't found anyone I really want to see win. And I too thought it was a crock of *kitten* that the MOMS were all boo-hooing over ADULTS as well. And last season's game playing with Brendan and keeping that worthless Elizabeth around really irked me!

I started making my own version of Starbucks "perfect" oatmeal. I just use the original instant packets, a little brown sugar, a bit of cinnamon sugar, dried cranberries, golden raisins and some chopped nuts. Plus, at work we have those mini moos individual creamers (10 calories for each little cup) so I'll add 2 or 3 of…

I had lap band in January 2008. I was bound and determined to lose 100 lbs by my year anniversary and I did. I was well on my way to hitting my goal weight within another 6 months or so and then I ran into some issues. So the following year and a half was spent yo-yoing back and forth (I too had gained back about 20-25 bs)…

OMG.....really? Here we go again.... Welcome to MFP and congrats on choosing a healthier LIFESTYLE. I also have the lapband and have been successful with incorporating better habits. Yes, it is a TOOL. And it CAN lead to permanent weight loss so long as you do your part. It is NOT the easy way out and and I am sure you…

Yum! Can't wait to try it!

I wear whatever underwear I happen to have on --seemless boyshorts are my new faves though -- and I also do NOT care whether I have panty lines or not. Those thong wearers- tired of your little strings showing up OVER your pant tops. I'm sure people already know you wear thongs, you really do NOT need to further advertise.…

Thank you as well!
-
Thank you so much for this! Most people who have NOT had WLS do think it's the "easy" way out and use people who did NOT put in the effort as examples of failures. I had lap band surgery in 2008. Best decision of my life. I have made changes in my lifestyle and am healthier and happier than I've ever been.

Oh dear! Major MFP mistake. I meant to "edit" my post and it seems I quoted myself....URGH!

You know you're an MFP addict when .... You talk to your significant other about your MFP buddies more than you do about your co-workers or real life friends. Everytime you run an errand and park your car in the furthest spot or run up the stairs in whatever building, you think "should I add this?" On a (very rare) slow…
