Aha! And therein lies his justification. I reckon the scenario went a little bit like this: 1. Someone phones the Police and lies saying you've committed an offence 2. Officer arrives at your home to investigate/arrest you and tells you of the allegation. 3. You freak out and go totally nuts (with good reason) 4. Police…

I'm sure he had his reasons which he justified, if not, he would now be out of a job as I'm sure you lodged a complaint, did you not? Or perhaps this Officer WAS a complete jerk who shouldn't be in the job. Does that mean that the rest of Police officers and Emergency Services personnel cannot be commended in this post?

I don't know what it's like where you live if you don't live in the UK, but over here the Police collect the evidence and the Crown Prosecution Service are the ones who decide who to believe and who the jury is likely to believe. If it's one word against another and both the victim and the offender are both of good…

Do you not just sit there all day looking at those two photos screaming with delight like a teenage girl?!?! I know I would! That is a HUGE change!! The loss is amazing!! You are an absolute winner!!! Well done!

Donnie Darko (blows my mind every time) and Dirty Dancing, although I haven't been able to bring myself to watch either of them since Patrick Swayze died  RIP.

I really don't know about this one. I have NEVER drunk loads and loads in a day. When I'm in extremely hot environments, I drink more, when I'm in colder environments I drink less. Therefore I figure my body signals when I need to drink. With this in mind I sneered at the "8 cups of water" recommendation on here, as I also…

I can't see it will be a problem. We'll only have done 2 weeks and will have another 6 or so to go. Any time is good to join :-)

A heart rate monitor

Sounds like a plan, BUT, I hope we're not going to do it every day for 30 days; more like every other day for 60 days!! That DVD is an absolute killer!! I'm not mega unfit and my thighs absolutely kill me for about two days after each session. I don't think I could do it every day, and if I did, it would be extremely…

Hi, I'm Alex. I'm currently 169lbs and would like to get down to about 145lb, but more if my shape dictates. I don't think I need to go the whole 40lbs, but maybe I do, because I looked pretty damn hot when I was 16 and weighted 129lbs! Can't wait for the challenges. When will they start?

I totally see where you're coming from. If it were me I'd totally blow a gasket on her and tell her to quit being such a fat lazy *****, or to get in her annexe and stay there. There's nothing wrong with what you're doing; you're just trying to carry on your life with someone trying to sabotage it all the time. Perhaps buy…

And by the way, STAY AWAY from any salad dressing other than one you've made at home. I've seen 80 calorie salads turned into 400 calorie salads due to the amount of mayo on them. Now why that particular store doesn't do a low fat option which would take those 400 down to around 120 is beyond me. When I have plenty of…

Absolutely spot on there! You need to weigh it all up. If you're starving, then eating 25gr of nuts at around 160 calories may not cut it for you mentally, but a massive plate of salad with 80gr of low fat ham and a balsamic vinegar dressing, may well do the trick. It's all about learning which healthy foods work for you…

Amazing!!!! I like the little tip about eating 1gr of protein per 1 lb of body weight in order to build muscle whilst on a calorie deficit. There are some people on here who state that it is IMPOSSIBLE to gain muscle when on a calorie deficit. I wasn't convinced by this but it did concern me a bit. It appears you have…

Wow, wow, wow!!!!! Well done!!!!! I guess to maintain you just need to up your calories accordingly and carry on with the exercise. Now you know how to log your calories, I can't see you sliding.
-
Definitely what she said. One where you have to place your fingers on the actual watch to get your HR are useless for exercising. You need one with a cheststrap. I placed my order on Amazon.co.uk 20 minutes ago for mine and have opted for the Sigma PC 15…

I'm 5'6", started at 172lb, and currently at 169lb. I want to drop to 145lb, so 25lb to go. If I dropped to 135lb I think I'd probably look like a stick insect, but who knows!!! I want to loose it as quickly as possible!

Do you have a Wii or Playstation? If so, get Zumba for one of them, then the kids can be entertained laughing they're little backsides off at mummy leaping around the front lounge! Voila! Kids entertained and you exercised all in one go! x

OMG!! If I changed up from my 3lb (in each hand) dumbells I'd bloody die doing 30 DS!
-
On a plus note, and given that you're probably gaining muscle and loosing fat, regardless of what you look like (and I have no idea because I haven't looked at your pics), I bet you'd outrun half of your local Police officers after doing 30 DS for 30 days!
-
Hmmmm.... one thing's for sure, I will be PIGGING OUT!! However, I shall be logging every last calorie and making sure that I up my exercise to try and compensate. I'm thinking that a nice long walk on Xmas morning with the dog will be a good start, and I've ordered some dance and party games for the Wii to keep us going…

Like, like, like!! Well done!!

I'm suffering the same problem as you. I've been 95% good with my calories since I started on here, although haven't been giving exercise as much effort as I should. Even so, I still should've lost weight, but have found that it's no where near how much it should be. I also build muscle really quickly so it could well be a…

Bumping because at the moment I'm only doing 30 DS and a bit of Zumba on the Wii, but really want to find a home exercise DVD to do some weights to and target my problem areas. I build muscle incredibly quickly so feel I should be doing more weights to benefit from this. I'm easily bored though, so it has to be something…

Oooohhhhh... can I join too!?!? I signed up to a 30 DS challenge a couple of weeks ago but got hit with the flu on Day 1, so failed before I'd even started. Would love to master some Superhero powers! ;-p
-
ROFLMAO!!! I'm glad someone finally put that down in words!! It happens to me nearly every day, but as of yet I haven't learned how to keep my mouth shut when he rebels against what I've just told him, or say "That's nice dear" when he spouts the same stuff out a few weeks later. Bloody men!
-
Me, 25lbs lighter!! :-p
-
Yum, yum, pig's bum!

If I did it every day... well, it's impossible for me to do it every day because it really works those quads. So much so that it's physically impossible to carry on the next day because my legs give way. I'm finding that leaving it a day in between is working out just fine. Measured my thighs last night and have lost half…

Add me too!! First the weight loss and exercise for me, and quitting smoking comes in the new year. Disgusting habit!! Well done!
