I am very much a creature of habit and routine, that also includes what I eat. I have lost 40 lbs and maintained that loss for over a year, all while eating just about the same thing every day!!! Oatmeal for breakfast and salad or turkey sandwich for lunch. Dinner is the only meal that gets changed up!! Good luck!!

this is my biggest pet peeve with my dh. he's always all up in 'my' food, calls himself 'helping' me eat it. um...i quite obviously know how to eat it, thanks anyway.

I had a dream where I was licking the spoon and bowl from some chocolate cake batter, and I woke up drooling all over my pillow!

I mix up a fruit smoothie - just unsweetened almond milk and strawberries - to drink before my 5 AM workout. I tried eating a banana before working out, but it made me feel bloated and icky! The smoothie seems to be just the right thing for me!

This was posted in response to a post about binge eating and how to recover: The best way to undo the binge eating ( only if its 1 meal) is to use a laxative ( optional) that night so all the food gets out of the system in the morning. REEALLY BAD ADVICE!!!

IMHO it's because as a society we've forgotten what 'normal' looks like! everything and everyone is supersized, and we've started to think of the larger sizes as 'normal'.

Definitely agree with those that say just do it and make it a habit. It is hard and takes adjusting to. I never thought I could get up at 4:30 in the morning to work out, but now I can't see not doing that!! It only took me a couple or 3 weeks to get into the habit. I love having my workout completed before the day has…

I work out first thing in the morning and can't really stomach a lot before I start. I usually have a smoothie, banana or strawberry, before, and some protein (peanut butter, protein bar, etc.) afterwards.

I might also suggest that you watch your sugar intake. The meal replacement bar has a lot of sugar. Good luck!

I can't promise that I'll be at a gym, but I will get my workout in before 8 AM. I have been getting up at 6 on Saturdays and Sundays to get my workouts in. Such a relief to do them and have them finished before the day begins!!

Yep, this. And, millipedes, centipedes - pretty much anything that has that many legs just freaks me out!!! And, talk about a crunch when you step on those... ack...

in my case, it's been ingrained in me for sooooo long that i needed to lose weight. as a child, that was my doc's mantra - 'she really needs to lose weight...' so, i developed a phobia of those damn scales! and, even though i'm where i want to be, i still absolutely DESPISE getting on those scales. so much drama, even now!!
