aim for 1 gram of lean protein per pound of body mass....and if your goal is to lose weight then you should eat in grams of protein your goal weight. ie: if you weigh 200lbs and want to get down to 180...then it's 180grams.
-
You are right..most people don't need to worry about post workout nutrition, or the "said" window of opportunity. I think replacing atwo meals with juice, isn't an optimal way to cut. Eat a lean protein meal instead, you'll be under in sugars and carbs and it will fill you up for very few calories.

If you don't have the calories to snack...don't do it, you're an adult and in total control of your behaviour...exercise for those extra calories, go for a walk, chew gum..or cave, just do it knowing that you don't have the extra cals to afford it and feel no guilt.

If she is perfectly healthy, thyroid and such...then she's cheating herself..not logging everything or underestimating calories and such. Doctor first, if everything is ok..take a look at behaviour.

When I eat out...I eat half my meal..pack the rest up and take it home..at least the damage is minimal, and i've not worried about healthy choices..I ate what I wanted and did half the damage..lol don't beat yourself up..tomorrow low cal day..zigzag those calories, most efficient way of keeping the body in check.

99% of people do not require protein powder they get enough protein from their diet...save your money.

Did you know that carb restricting to that degree will affect brain function? that's ridiculously low. I would not recommend that low a carb intake to anyone, ever, especially if you work out as well. It's unhealthy. How do you manage to eat veg and fruit and stay under 20grams? they are loaded with carbs. Did I misread…

This si a huge problem, trust me you're not alone! Brushing your teeth trick may work...worth a shot..do not let yourslef eat anything bad for you..untik you've gone for a walk..seriously...then when you get in have a big glass of water...mark on a calendar you did it...be proud..and the "urge" to eat that junk should…

There's no such thing as lower abs...your abs are one big muscle...everytime you weight lift or run..etc.....you engage the core and make it stronger. Your diet is key to losing belly fat, then your workouts will help to improve the condition of the abs. I hit my abs directly, for a few minutes a coupe times a week...it's…

AMEN...MD's are not trained in nutrition...they send you to me!! lol and the other posters are right..trial and error, see how your body responds. I'm low carb...60grams or under a day...I consider my weekends high carb and they hit 100-120 grams..to each their own!

Don't worry about it, levels on MFP are stupid low. I take in 160grams...perfet for me..number MFP gives me is like 60 say WHAT?? so don't worry about it
-
I don't do Atkins, but I severely carb restrict, 60grams a day...and honestly, you can find a medical study to back up anything now a days. Low carb can be extremely successful or not at all, it's an individual choice based on your preferance and tolerance levels to being able to sustain a low carb diet.

I have to say I agree, a man who cheats, does not respect you , love you or is comitted to you or the family, it's the most selfish thing a person can do. I didn't read past the infidelities, sorry....that just pisses me off. If you forgave that, more power to you, as far as i'm concerned his head should be so far up your…

Do bodyweight circuit training..i'm assuming you have no weights at home, othewise definitely incorporate DB's or BB's into the mix. Do things, like 1 minute running up and down your stairs...1 minute squats,.....1 minute abs......1 minute bicep.....1 minute pushups...1 minute lunges...you get the idea, and do the circuit…
