  • Having one of those weeks right now. Biggest tip: When you don't feel like working out, sometimes it's best to push yourself. It really helps with my moods, energy, and cramps. And i find at the end of those work outs, even if it's for 20 minutes, I am so glad that i did it. And I try not to keep any "trigger" foods around…
  • I just ordered a bunch of their clothes off Hautelook.com a few weeks ago! And a pair of their running shoes last week! I will have to check this sale out too  Their tank tops are really really nice!! Just wish the ones I bought had built in bras. They are a bit thin ....
  • I used to eat them at almost every lunch time because they are convenient. But I think it contributed to my water retention with the sodium. I still keep them around for "emergency-I slept in, can't make lunch" kind of days ... I love both brands!!
  • Me too. I've recognized there's no such thing as "a little bit" for me. I don't keep any of that stuff in the house. I can't control myself. And I always had chocolate cravings. I gave up ALL junk and candy foods for Lent. Quit - cold turkey. Didn't think I could, but I'm not doing so bad. My TOM is trying to cause chaos,…
  • I'm in the same boat!! Keep at it. We will get there :flowerforyou:
  • Good thinking!! This is very true!!
  • Oooh!! Don't get me started on this subject!!!!! LOL I have to agree. At the same time I have found very healthy and budget friendly options. And most the time I check out the Sunday ad for their weekly specials and sales and adjust accordingly. Frozen veggies 10/$10 - I grab them up!
  • I saw something similar to this in my Dr's office. I've been trying to follow it ... Veggies is easy, it's control my meat/protein portions. I love my meat!! :)
  • Research has shown that certain types do gain weight. I was on Depo and RETAINED WATER like crazy!!! It was horrible. Since then, it's been a year, and I've been on two different types of pills. The latest one I'm on I enjoy much better.
  • I second that. I'm a VERY picky eater. At least I used to be. Since I've been really focusing on my health and weight, I've been "trying" new things. Doesn't mean I like them all. Veggies for one is something I've been really testing my taste buds at. I used to only be meat and potatoes and never would you see me eat…
  • Bought mine (Body Fortress) at Walmart - less than $15.
  • Agreed. I can handle situations a little better than I used to. And it helps me with sleep - which is one thing I find very difficult to do when stressed/anxious.

  • For me it went one or two ways ... When i suffered my depression over 8 years ago, I lost over 12 lbs. I went from 129 my whole high school years (that I can remember) to a 117 and still losing ... I had started a new job, graduated high school, anxious about college ... Then again 4 years ago going through a bad break up…

  • These are great ideas!! Thank you everyone! I think I might just have a satisfying lunch tomorrow
  • I usually name SOMETHING, but this year I'm doing it ALL! I'm giving up ALL junk food!! ALL OF IT!!! Purging mind, body, and soul for the next 40 days. *fingers crossed*
  • Wow. Well said!
  • On my calendar at home, I try to plan certain meals. This helps me know what to shop for as well. If I have certain plans, like a dinner date or my Zumba class, I can plan my week/meals around it. It's almost like logging it early, but I keep it on my fridge.
  • Emerald and Blue Diamond have flavor roasted almonds that make great snack or I add mine to yogurt or my oatmeal. Popcorn is a great suggestion I saw mentioned. I like string cheese too. Perdue makes those Short Cuts are already made and easy to add to a wrap, salad, or bed of veggies! They have come in handy when I need…
  • I'm up to 5 minutes with out stopping ... but then I have to walk/run the rest of my time. I'm working on it though
  • You go girl!! I'll be following!
  • Yes, I have set up a little reward system along the way. Little stuff here and there ... anything but food. I'm a huge make up junkie so for my 5 lbs it'll be a new eye pallet I've been dying to have ... 10 pounds will probably be a massage .... ahhhhh  At the end, the big reward will be a new summer wardrobe ????
  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE my curves!!!
  • I love it!! Personally, I find that shows like America's Next Top Model, etc ridiculous call me plus size rather than normal (i know it's the fashion world, but c'mon). Size 8/10? Really? It would appear to me that 8/10 is rather normal. How do you explain these sizes never being available at the dept stores because their…
  • I'm doing the same thing. I did South Beach two years ago and did AMAZING on it!!! So I kind of started doing it again this year, only I've modified it a bit. I watch my starches, white-floured stuff. I try to stay away from bread and pasta, but limit to special occasions only. I make a lot of salads, lean meats, and…
  • I have to agree. I had some friends that went to see a nutritionist. Now in some of their cases they needed more guidance because they had a more difficult time doing it on their own - and because of certain health restrictions. But most the information they got was the same thing that I've been reading in my fitness mags,…
  • Wow!! Thank you!! This recipe looks much better. I will definitely be trying this!!!!
  • Same here. Sometimes it's really easy for me to hit my calorie goal and sometimes it's not. And usually after my work outs in the evenings I find myself not hungry ... I try to listen to my body most of all, but if I'm under 1200, I'll try and eat something light and nutritious. I keep SF Jello pudding snacks at home too…
  • As much as I LOVE LOVE LOVE that show, I really don't want to be orange. Just looking for something natural and a bit safer than the beds I've used. I was wondering about St Tropez? Any one use that one or is it just an overpriced Jergens?
  • I like a chilled Slimfast shake in the AM with some PB toast or something during the summer. Makes a good quick breakfast. As for the diet itself, I've never heard anyone have success with it.
