  • 5/8/13 = I have completed day 9 and I am a third of the way to day 10 - Stay at the inn much of the morning. Then skirt BRee-hill and turn east. Reach the South-gate of Bree. Leave village and ride east on the road. Camp next to a trail leading north into Chetwodd on Bree-hill. Ride east at a leisurely pace. Road runs ESE…
  • 5/7/13 = Apparently I can't add correctly, I have actually gone 85.87 miles, not 76.17 miles. So this puts me as just completing Day 8: Continue east at a leisurely pace. The most western slopes of the Barrow-downs appear far to the south. Barrow-downs continue. Between the Road and the Downs is the hedge. Reach Bree. Stay…
  • 5/6/2013 = 76.17 miles.....To the south the Old Forest ends. I have camped and am now continuing east at a leisurely pace. The most western slopes of the Barrow-downs appear far to the south (day 8).
  • 5/2/13 = 68.01 miles total - I camped next to the road and have continued east on the road. Land is sparsely settled and to the south the Old Forest ends.
  • 4/30 = I crossed the bridge, continuted south on the road to Buckland, passed the High Hay, stopped for the night and I am now heading east on the Road approaching the Old Forrest. I have traveled 59.34 miles total and I am 0.66 miles from reaching my 60 mile goal!
  • 4/29 = I crossed the Brandywine Bridge, stayed at the Bridge Inn and I am on the road to Buckland, just a couple miles from High Hay. I have surpassed my April goal of 50 miles with a total of 53.15 miles and still have 2 days to go until the end of the month! It's going to be hard, but I am going to try to get hit the 60…
  • The FitBit Flex, which will be released in May, will be waterproof, but none of the other FitBit products are (not sure to what degree, but everything I have read about it says it will be). It does not keep track of your heart rate. I haven't used a heart rate monitor, so I can't recommend one product over the other, but I…
  • I have walked a total of 38.85 miles.....I left the south camp past Woody End and I am on my way to Brandywine Bridge to stay at the Inn. I hope to be there by the end of the week. I want to try to hit 50 miles this month.....better get walking if I am going to make my goal!
  • I walked 12.65 miles in the last 5 days. I stopped at Frogmorton and am on my way to the trees of Woody End.
  • Hi, I'm Traci. I have been struggling with my weight basically my entire life. I am a type 1 diabetic, I have hypothyroidism, and I can be an emotional eater, so it's a triple whammy to the system and makes an already difficult task even harder (losing weight that is). I am determined to keep trying, and always seem to…

  • Hi, I'm Traci. I am a Heights girl and love being so close to basically everything. I have been struggling with my weight basically my entire life. I initially joined MFP a few years ago but never really utilized it. I started back on MFP in February when I got my FitBit and learned that the two sync with each other. I am…
  • I am in Houston, Texas. I moved here from Sonoma, California, but I am originally from Chicago. I am glad to see some fellow Houston area people in the group

  • I have the Fitbit Zip and I am using it to calculate my miles. You can't tell the milage by using the app on your phone. You have to log into the website and get the numbers that way. If you click on the "Month" option under Activity, and hover over the day, it should show you the milage based on the day. I hope this…
  • I have ventured 11.6 miles so far. I guess I need to pick up my pace...I feel like I am dragging behind.
  • Hi there! I have been on MFP technically for a few years, but I didn't start "using" it until February of this year. This sounds like a fun way to track my distance and see where my journey will take me. Thanks for starting the group and here's to new adventures
  • I have been on a high deductible insurance for over a year now and all of the costs come out of my pocket until the deductible is met. The first few months, more like 4 or 5 months, of the year I am spending $436 a month for 3 vials of Humalog. I don't use all 3 vials and it can actually last closer to 2 months, but that…
  • I have type 1 diabetes (going on 23 years) but my doctor had me try Victoza a couple years ago to see if it would help with weight loss. The Victoza did make a difference with my appetite and it did help with a slow weight loss. The naseau would only effect me every now and again but when I did feel it, I would just drink…
