Thank you! All I really wanted to add to this was a pound is a pound. Muscle is more dense, more compact, but does not weigh more. For example, 1 pound of feathers would look a lot more than 1 pound of rocks, but both weigh exactly the same... 1 pound.

Measure, count, and weigh all your food. Log everything. Read the message boards for insight and inspiration, but do your own research. Take body measurements also. You might be losing inches and not realize. Be patient. It sucks, I know, but you have to be.

I'm sorry he hurt your feelings, but I also agree... good learning lesson time. He needs to know that he hurt your feelings and it isn't okay, and you still love him. Don't make it long and drawn out and all emotional, but make sure he understands that words really do hurt. *hug*

Had a '06 Honda CBR 600RR that I sold last year. I miss it and will buy another one this year. Love riding and the escape. Loved the look when I would take of my helmet and people would see I was a woman. Lol. Any other lady riders?

I'm not a big veggie fan either so I had to get creative and make them in soups or sauces. I also just had to try and convince myself to just try things. Zucchini cut thin and coated in egg whites, dusted in bread crumbs, sprayed with Pam and baked in the oven, really are good. Not a bad way to get veggies that have crunch…

I have a Droid phone and I downloaded an app called Workout Trainer by skimble. I haven't used it yet, but I haven't erupted out in a while and feel a little lost. I don't have anyone to workout with and I know an app may not be the best, but it is at Larry giving me some direction.

I sent you a message regarding where to get some information on the raw eating, but in addition, i'd say that his body may just be adjusting to the shock of going from excess calories to next to nothing. I'd bet it's holding on to what little is coming in.

I usually brown some ground turkey with broccoli slaw and a little teriyaki(sp?) and soy sauce, wrap them up in egg roll wrappers. I used to fry in my prior life, lol, but now i'll have to try them either baking or pan frying them with PAM. I have a pack in the fridge so I know what i'll be having for dinner one night.…

Thanks for asking this. I've been a little nervous about adding in exercise and tried to, but felt like I would fall off my eating. Now it's been about a month of eating right and i'm finally ready to really add exercising in and know that I am in a better place to stick to what I have been doing. Good luck!

Yep. Both me and my 17 year old daughter had to stop 30DS cause of knee pain while doing it. I didn't feel too bad cause she very athletic and in shape. :laugh:

I do both. I count calories, but watch my carbs. I very rarely eat all my allotment of carbs and always go over on my protein. I actually feel really good because I still have carbs, mostly from fruits, veggies, whole grains, but not so much I feel like sluggish. The other thing I watch is my fiber and drink tons of water.…

I was also scared to start exercising. :embarassed: I know it's irrational, but i'm going to start this week. My numbers: Last weigh-in: 220.0 This week: 218.9 Down 1.1lbs. I'll take it. :bigsmile:

There are two different thoughts on eating your exercise calories back. In my opinion, no, that's not okay for weight loss. Your body will eventually go into starvation mode as your net is 449 calories. That means your body has/had that for the whole day.
