My teenager complaining that me and her Dad don't do enough for her, which caused me to bust out laughing and totally piss her off. Now I shall go and listen to The Shins. B)

LOVE that quote. Thanks for sharing!

I am loving these confessions! Thank you. Here's mine: I made a homemade cherry crisp last night after not having any desserts for almost two months and ate a large portion. It tasted good but holy cow my stomach hurt so badly this morning that I spent an inordinate amount of time in the ladies room if you get my drift. So…

Salmon fillet over broccoli slaw and maple grove farms sesame ginger dressing.

These are some great ideas, thanks! I freeze portions of soups since they're easy to reheat in the microwave. I have also gotten creative with my salads: salmon fillet over broccoli slaw and sesame ginger dressing; cubed turkey/cranberries/celery with ff greek yogurt & curry powder dressing over romaine; chicken…

I tried it as a substitute for a quiche crust and it worked pretty well. I also love it in soups and as a substitute for rice.

Echoing the rest of the commenters, I have the Vegetti, we have as much fun with saying the name as making the zucchini noodles. I had linguini and red clam sauce with the zoodles and it was so satisfying and I had a huge bowl for minimal calories.

Love. This. Quote. I had been thin growing up (manic exerciser), got fat (got married), got thin (x-said I wasn't worth getting marriage counseling and no one would want me), broke my leg overtraining and got fat, now losing again. Being thin is hard. It is hard work. Every day. But being fat is harder. Since I experienced…

Mussels in saffron broth with LOTS of crusty bread to sop it up, then toasted ravioli, then fruti de mari with TONS of seafood: clams, shrimp, lobster, crab, more crusty bread and butter, then maybe some more seafood, crab legs, Maine lobster tails, then a chocolate mousse with crunchy butter cookies and a Vietnamese…

I don't have a recipe per say, but I make a pretty decent linguini and red clam sauce.....we use gf pasta because of my daughters food allergies, but you could substitute other types...1 can tomato paste, 2 cans clams, 1 seafood boullion cube, garlic, basil, red pepper, olive oil...I saute lots of garlic in a fair amount…

Short answer: Can be sexy. Long answer: I am 49 (eek) and I got mine when I was 19 (it was NOT popular like it is today) I got a small pansy and I still love it. I got it right beneath my bikini line because I didn't want anyone to judge me. It is definitely an art form. However, I also look at some people who are covered…

I have a few: to dip bell peppers and cucumbers in I like plain fat free yogurt with minced kalamata olives and greek seasoning. To dip celery sticks in I like to mix ff ranch and ff wing sauce (Cookie's Brand rocks it), and for baked chips I like plain ff yogurt with dried minced onions, parsley and a beef boullion cube,…

Selfish brutes are why I don't go to the gym anymore. I love lifting weights. Problem is, I have a hard time maneuvering a 45 lb plate. So when these meatheads leave 2 or 3 45 lb plates on the bars, it pissed me off royally. Besides, it is a waste of my time! I'm not the janitor, I work out here. I always ALWAYS put my…

Thank you for sharing your story. I appreciate hearing about the emotional side of your story too. I don't have as much weight to lose as you have, but it's amazing how one's feelings about yourself can affect how one goes through life. And how it really does take changing your mind in order to change your weight. You are…

I'm with you on that! But he would have to have his shirt off :-)

Have always gotten compliments on my behind, but the best compliment was from a woman who was jealous of how fit I had become (this was before I broke my leg and had 2 surgeries) ANYWAY.....I was at the pool for a party and as I walked away she said, "NOTHING on you jiggles!" lol that was freaking awesome!

All these soups sound yummy! I don't follow recipes for the two soups I make the most but they are delish! I always fall back on a good minestrone: beef broth, diced tomatoes, green beans, carrots, kale, kidney beans, onions, garlic, a small amount of pasta, and parmesan at the end. Another one I make a lot is a posole:…
