  • I am pretty sure it is for all shoes if you are wearing them to work out in. Especially doing things like running in them puts a lot of wear and tear on them. You also should have seperate shoes for workouts and everyday wear. I know what you mean about hurting after running outside. There is a huge difference.

  • oh PS, workout or running shoes should be replaced every 3 months. It does not go by the sole because that does not wear down. The support inside wears down very fast if you are wearing them often. I figured out my miles and I should replace my shoes like every 2 months, yikes that is expensive.

  • It sounds like a sprain to me. Try wearing an ankel brace. Or maybe you are not wearing proper shoes for your foot style, ie high arch, flat foot and things like that. I say just take it really easy which I am sure is not what you want to hear.
  • Shoes do not affect ankels. They more affect shins. You should replace them every 300 miles though.
