  • Depends on her definition of "professional". If she is licensed or a doctor or has some other notoriety associated with her maiden name, she should keep it until she changes business offices or until it is more feasible. Going to a doctor for years and then having them change their name suddenly leads to a lot of confusion…
  • No caffeine = no waking up...So, yeah, pretty addicted. When I don't get my caffeine, I get massive headaches and very irritable. On the other hand, I'm a light drinker, gave up smoking and drugs, and have drastically reduced my food intake. I also exercise way more, run, bike, jog, and do all manner of things around the…
  • You can lose weight eating any quantity of any thing if you burn more calories than you consume. Simple math.
  • This. If you wash before, when you work out and the pores start doing their thing dirt doesn't go from your face to your pores.
  • It took me 20 years to get over being 20...so now I have to do it all over again??? 42 here. Seems a common age. Rise up, Gen-Xers. We'll take back the world :D
  • Anyone else here flash back to high school with the slam books?
  • You and I have obviously never met...

  • Never ever listen to me talk...ever. Or my son, who has picked up every one of these habits.
  • Isn't yolo some sort of candy? I also love in business how people love to toss around percentages...like someone can actually quantify the amount they are sure of something...
  • I measure portions for recipes, but not for portion control. What I mean is, if I make stir fry, I use 2 cups of rice, a 4 cup bag of veggies, and about 12 oz of meat (that's already portioned), so when I serve myself up and take a quarter of it, I'm getting a cup of cooked rice, a cup of cooked veggies (which shrink a…
  • Your book list and your profile pic...wow. I'm reading the Pathfinder source book, because I need some money on my discover card to buy more books.
  • I usually have to have an extra snack to get up over that 1200 calorie mark. My dinners are the heaviest meals, because the rest of my food is eaten on the go. Usually I'll try to have a decent dinner with a salad, which will be about 500 cal for dinner and another 100 cal for salad. I almost never "drink" my calories,…
  • Same here, though I am touching my face way more. It's weird to actually be able to feel bones there. Oh, and abs. I've become fascinated with touching my abs. Who know carrying around so much flab could build so much muscle? Oh, and yes on the inch thing...*nods sagely*
  • I'm sure if you ask nicely some guy will be more than happy to hold you up through this trying time... I think for men women wanting smaller boobs is like a guy wanting a smaller package...it's just counterintuitive.
  • Props for putting Priest on this thread
  • It's \m/ But yeah, I'm old skool, through and through
  • I guess the real question is do you want more muscle or do you want more definition of the muscles you have. My leg muscles are much bigger than they were, but I've tried to keep my upper body a bit less bulky because, well, I just don't like the look of it, and neither does my wife. If you want to be a powerlifter, that's…
  • Same reason I prefer women with boobs. It's just a preference. 5'9" is only an inch under the average, and you won't have to deal with nearly as much crap as the tall guys do, like finding pants that fit, finding shoes, being asked to reach the top shelf by complete strangers, lower back pain, upper back pain, spine…
  • Honestly, you lost 20% of your goal in the first month. I didn't do that. I think I lost something like 3 lbs in the first month, with all the exercise, etc. The more you have to lose, the more you lose starting off. Now that I'm towards the goal I lose 2 lbs every 2 weeks or so, or in simple math 4 lbs a month. Hell, most…
  • Those little crystal light or whatever they are called things. Those work well, I suppose. I just taught myself to like water. Everything in weight loss or gain is about willpower, and my actively doing something to change the behavior you can make a change. If you are passive about it, very little is going to change.
  • I absolutely love salads, though. I just built my menu around things I already liked, which made the transition a lot easier. then again, never been a huge fan of junk food, fatty food, or empty calories.
  • Hand full = serving. It's 20 calories for a normal handful of salad, so one or two leafs isn't going to matter at all.
  • A calorie is a unit of measure. Specifically, it is a kilocalorie, the actual difference being a calorie and a Calorie or kcal. A single calorie will heat a single milliliter of water a single degree Celsius. A kcal, or the calories we talk about, will heat a single liter of water a single degree Celsius. Where you get…
  • It's that stupid ball of fire in the sky. Makes us all want to be elsewhere
  • Looks like seattle is way up there in terms of boring atmosphere
  • Ditto on all counts...Well, Kent, WA
  • Rice dishes are awesome for this stuff. You can make a simple rice dish with some broccoli, chicken (half a chicken breast is plenty), a cup of rice, 2 cups of water, and some garlic and onion powder. If you like it a bit more flavorful, toss in a cube of chicken bouillon or use chicken broth and top off the last ounce…
  • http://getfitguy.quickanddirtytips.com/how-to-tighten-loose-skin-after-weight-loss.aspx Not a mom, obviously, but these are the tips I'm using and they are working. I haven't gotten all the way there, yet, but the skin is definitely tighter than it was.
  • He was also in Dead Like Me...Awesome actor in everything he does.
  • Actually, the opposite is more likely. Cheating men will try to have more sex with the wife as a sort of compensation for the dishonesty. Lack of sex drive is a key indicator in lots of different maladies for men. He could be going through some sort of life change, but when it happened to me I was diagnosed with…
