  • My wife has this issue. Really, it doesn't matter to a guy if you show skin or cover it up. We'll fill in the blanks. She usually wears things that show shape, but not actual cleavage. But I have never complained about women showing unless they complain about me staring...and running into things.
  • I do dishes, cook, and handle the kitchen and bathrooms. She does laundry, vacuuming, and dusting, when she sees a pile of dust. When the mood takes me, I do all her stuff, all my stuff, and then some other stuff
  • If I could mainline the stuff, I would. I'm usually on my third cup of coffee by now...
  • I thought the OP was a dude before I opened the thread. My wife uses a sports bra and gets on the elliptical. Personally I would opt for the stationary bike, since you can go as fast or slow as you want without bouncing.
  • Just "finished" Skyrim (I know, you don't actually finish the game, but after a while it's just sort of pointless), looking forward to the Game of Thrones RPG, even though I'm hearing that it sucks, I have a 7 year old up for auction (my son) so I can get Daiblo 3...no takers yet, and I started out playing Pong...in the…
  • Salad mix. I eat the stuff every day, so it does make sense

  • I don't log it much at all since I don't use a HRM. From what I understand, there are calculators out there, some that use the HRM, some that use your height, weight, age, and other factors. I just got to the point where I determined there is no way I can eat enough to eat all my calories back and consider the weight…
  • Really, don't care who is gay and who isn't. I like people for who they are, not who they like to sleep with. Sorry to all you people that got a raw deal. I got picked on because I was a red head, because I wasn't an officer's son, and because I was white in a non-white neighborhood. I also got teased when I went into the…
  • The only solace I take from being termed "middle aged" is that I can now point out to my mother that she is a "senior citizen" or "pensioner" whenever she gets unruly. 42 here, feel free to add
  • http://www.active.com/running/Articles/Know_the_signs_of_unhealthy_exercise_addiction.htm It's rather ironic that, through transference, we can go from food addiction to work out addiction and back again with relative ease. I used to study this type of thing when I was a psych student because the predisposition for…
  • Sometimes I'm just stunned at how many people were making "bad" eating choices, and then come to this website to defend a lot of those choices. I have always been, at least in some respects, a healthy eater. I bypass the junk food, don't really eat much in the way of fatty, deep fried, or sugary foods, opting instead for…
  • The most basic form of weight loss is to eat less and move more. If you have one or the other, you won't get the results you want. You need both of them to lose fat, not muscle. The whole concept of eating more is relative to what you are eating when you are in hard core diet mode, and most people think that it changes…
  • I really could care less about a long life or any of the other reasons people have put out there. What makes it all worth it is the look of shock on people's faces when they see me after a long time away, and I've lost about 1/3-1/4 of my total weight to start with. that and the jealousy I get from some of them because…
  • A bit of perspective. She is dropping 20 lbs, total. Honestly I can't see that being a life threatening weight. Men in general don't like change in their spouses/significant others unless it's a reversion to what attracted them in the first place. But, it is something that you are working on, and working hard on, as well.…
  • I don't drink milk, so I eat cheese. Even the processed stuff has the basic nutrients I need. And I could use the extra sodium, having a low blood pressure issue most of the time.
  • Okay, here's the deal. shaving, dangerous, can really hurt (I've gotten shaving rash on a couple of areas a lot of times), and when it grows back it itches like mad. Nair is okay, unless you are fair skinned like me. At that point, it's a bit like throwing acid down there.
  • I have the same issue. Seems like all the rest of my fat is stored at the middle. Over time your body will readjust to the new conditions.
  • Ditto on this one. I'm getting to the point where I can see abs, but only if I'm looking at the right angles...
  • Me. I can't wear or be around perfume or cologne. I'm highly sensitive to it. So I have to shower a lot and the deodorant I use has to be hypoallergenic. Thanks mom...
  • Throw it out of the window of a moving car...that'll learn it. If what you are doing isn't working, change something. Cut back salt, carbs, cholesterol, what have you. Remember, MFP is fairly generic, but each user is an individual. What may work for one will not always work for everyone.
  • Raisins. I actually looked one time while adding them to my salad. They had more calories than the lettuce, tomato, cheese, and dressing combined.
  • Having made omelets for a living for years, I'm a purist at heart. It's usually about 2 oz of meat, whatever is on hand, two eggs, whole (I actually run very low on cholesterol, and doctors have warned me to increase it), and a single slice of pepperjack cheese cut on the diagonal. Throw eggs in the pan, move them around…
  • Thomas' Everything Bagel Thin Slice of turkey (smoked) or ham, both 97% fat free Slice of american cheese Coffee, about a gallon, give or take. Really the food is just so my stomach can handle the coffee.
  • If anyone can give me tips on thinning out my hair, that'd be awesome. I got a haircut early on and dropped a pound or two just from that... Honestly, if it's caused by not eating enough/eating right, when you alter your diet to proper levels it should resolve itself.
  • If I were single I wouldn't really have an age range. I'm 42, and my wife is 33. Before her I was dating a woman two years younger than her. Before that it was a woman 2 years older than me. Age doesn't mean all that much to me so long as we are attracted to each other and can have a decent conversation.

  • I had to buy new jeans because my old ones didn't fit. Add an almost new suit to that (wore it once) and this dieting thing has cost me almost $1000 just in clothing.
  • CoWorker, no question. That guy has wasted more money with his whining than anyone I've ever met
  • I bought a nook color for a variety of reasons. Cost about half as much as an iPad, I managed to root it without messing up the main programming (it has a boot for sd card option), it works fairly well for whatever I do, and I can watch netflix on it. Than and nook allows me to have all my books on every computer, tablet,…
  • This one too. I hate the cardio deck when it's packed.
  • The trainers at the gym are annoying in the extreme. Everyone is so introverted I've only had one conversation in the whole time I've been there. People are odd about parking, like they won't part any further than five feet from the door if they can help it. The music mix is just a montage of how remixes have destroyed…
