Just say NO! I was (still am actually) a confessed sugar crazy grandma! Enjoy baking cookies, cakes, and pies... true southern style cooking too. Well, at the suggestion of my doctor -- she said try baking with splenda -- while using less sugar. Well, I just wasn't satisfied -- I wanted to taste of the real stuff! So, I…

Break fast! It should be started early in your day! I have my African Grey parrot at the shop with me ... so when I got there this morning-- 9:30am-- we both enjoyed a banana and some peanut butter! Other days it might be yogurt. But I have to admit I do not want cooked eggs and sausage -- heavy stuff that hubby eats in…

No more talk here of being old! I will be 62 next week -- and I am just getting my running ramped up ... it will take some time. My one mile on the treadmill took me 20 minutes today! But I will keep moving. . . . I did aqua fitness during the summer in our pool with twenty pounds weights....getting a bit cold for the pool…

But, I am gonna NOT let this dismay and wreck my plan --- I will keep up the exercise and meal planning to stay the course! I hope you are feeling better and see more positive results…

I am going back to the stationery bike -- its on the porch or I can move it indoor if the weather get too cold! It takes less space than the threadmill ( which I have at another location). I aim for 30-minutes .... and will up that in a couple of weeks! Happy rides!

Ive had her for almost ten years -- she wasn't ridable when I got her -- but with a lot of learning on both our parts -- she is my favorite. I also ride her…

When you want! Whether it's candy or new clothes, etc. My WANT to get in the best shape I can be far exceeds the temporary Fix of that (monster) candy! We have to fix our needs (wants) within reasonable capability of our desires! In other words what do you want MORE! Of course, I am preaching to me this morning . . . I let…

Baking goodies will have to take a reduction in my house this season. I will try to use a splenda baking substitute for some of the necessary cookies and turnovers. I will focus on my least favorite pies -- and like last year cut some of the excess with the big day Thanksgiving Dinner; making sure everyone takes home with…

Think I might just hire Merry Maids to get the house ready for the holidays -- and take a long trail ride with daughter and grand-son!
