  • Cindy, great job staying on your weight loss! You also have beautiful teeth :)
  • OMG- that's so awful :( I'm sorry that happened. I went in to Nordstrom one day and the same thing happened. I was flipping through some tops and the sales girls said, 'We don't have that in your size." I almost started to cry. It was so rude. And of course she was this twiggy 20 something with great hair.
  • I was wondering this as well- so thanks for posting!
  • Hey there, I'm Miss Appropriate from Seattle, WA. I've skated derby off and on for about 6 years, co-founding one league and then skating with another small rec league that's working hard to make a name. I just retired from that league in February and haven't been skating much. I was out of shape, fat, drinking too much,…
  • PICA is a nutritional deficiency that can be caused by more than anemia. Celiac disease (gluten intolerance) etc. If you really want to eat clay, you should ask your doctor for a blood screen :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pica_%28disorder%29 You might also be eating something that is upsetting your stomach. Oddly, when I…
  • I do the hair and makeup- mostly the make up for my day to day look (you absolutely have to get used to false eyelashes). The hair is the hardest part. I have medium length hair but can get some good curls going using bobby pins and hair glue when I have to. Second and third to everyone who said that there are youtube…
  • Mine is pretty depressing, but I'll add you :)
  • I have been dying my hair since the 80's- all colors of the rainbow! My new job requires "professional attire" all the time, so I am in long sleeves every day and my hair is at it's natural color- the first time in 20+ years. I'm living vicariously through my 12 year old- she has bright purple hair and gets TONS of…
  • I do most of my work outs at home. I go to my friend's house and run on her treadmill at least once a week, do a weekly fitness class with a personal trainer, pilates and Jillian Michaels at home, and when it's nice out, I put on my roller skates and do a 4-6 mile outdoor path along the water. Yes, rollerskates.
  • I hate her SO MUCH. My daughter is usually on the computer as ol' Jillian is running me through the drill. She gives me encouragement by saying things like, "Is that lady CRAZY? She's telling you to *WHAT*? Look, Mom, you did it!" It helps to have a cheerleader who also hates her.
  • I am doing a variety of different workouts and eating between 1200 and 1400 calories a day. I weigh myself every morning right when I get up. One morning, I was 7 pounds lighter- the next day, I had those 7 pounds back and then some. But my clothes are all much looser and I *feel* better. I'm going to try to stick to the…
  • The challenge you're facing is one of perception. You are working to lose weight. The people around you at work, and that don't know you, assume that you are just eating to eat and don't see the hard work you put in every day, that the people around you see. You are making HUGE healthy changes in your life that they don't…
  • I don't think I'm supposed to be replying to this, since we're doing the cleanse/weight loss part together IRL. HOWEVER, if you aren't eating enough, then it's possible this process is not the right one for you. You are burning over a thousand calories a day with your workouts- my workouts run from 300-600. Bottom line-…
  • I am on day four and am not really having trouble hitting the 1200 calories. I have supplemented in the afternoon with almonds and cashews which is the right amount of fat/protein and will help you hit your calorie goal. I also find that I'm not even remotely hungry a lot of the time, but I miss "crunchy" food, so the nuts…
