  • I think that's awesome! It's those little things in life that change when you lose weight that make it so constantly rewarding. :)
  • Bags of snow peas. You can eat the whole container for 70 calories and they are sweet and crunchy. I also love sugar free jello with light cool whip (like 25 calories), light string cheese sticks (70 calories), and Special K cracker chips (27 for 110 calories).
  • I haven't watched yet but I know what happens and I'm excited. Personally I hated that character (he sucked the humanity out of the entire group, imo) and I knew he was going to die eventually because he dies in the first comic. Watching it later. I'll probably cry tears of joy.
  • I'm aiming for 3 but I've been attracted to girls who were a 1, 2, 3, or 4. I'm not very picky.
  • I'm from southern Maine, so not that far away from NH/Mass. :)
  • I have a very loving and supportive friend who keeps calling me "Skinny lady!" and responding to my NSVs with "That's cause you're all skinny now." She's definitely saying it to be sweet but it just annoys me because I am very, very far from skinny.
  • That's great! Grocery shopping basically asks you the question "How serious are you about this? How are you going to do this week?" and you gave the right answer. Congratulations! :)
  • I don't think Paleo is a fad diet, I just know I couldn't sustain it because I love pasta and cheese and chocolate. I have no interest in eliminating those things from my diet when I know for a fact that you can be a healthy, happy person while eating them in moderation. I think everyone needs to find their own method that…
  • I used to always do something like the duckface in pictures. Usually with my mouth off to the right. It wasn't because I thought it was cute or sexy, I was just really insecure about my fat face and got nervous when someone was taking a picture of me so that was just, for some reason, my go-to facial expression. It looks…
  • It wasn't a specific food, I just ate my feelings instead of dealing with them. And I have a lot of feelings.
  • I weigh in every Thursday morning. I don't do cheat days, I just occasionally let myself have a special higher cal meal or snack maybe once a week and even then I try to stay below my goal. I guess birthdays and holidays are my days for that. I just really hate the term cheat day for some reason. I don't wanna feel like…
  • My goal is set for 125 but that's the lowest I would go. I would be happy anywhere 140 and under, I think. I really won't know until I'm getting there because I haven't been that small since early middle school. Currently, I'd just like to be 150-ish pounds so I will no longer be considered overweight. :)
  • We've been together for four and a half years and we've lived together for almost that entire time. We've had some very rough patches and there are a lot of things we disagree on but he's stood by me through a lot, he's an incredible Dad to our daughter, and I love him. Even when we're fighting he finds a way to make me…
  • My apartment complex has a little gym. We all have a key to it so you can go in 24 hours a day and I like to go at night to work out alone. :)
  • Highest was probably this summer at around 278. Started this at 275, currently at 239.6, and my ultimate goal weight is the 135-125 range. I'm 5'6'' :)
  • In seriousness, I do get a little concerned when I see people logging all their daily house cleaning and food preparation because I think MFP overestimates calories burned and sometimes it seems like they're doing it to earn calories to eat. So I worry about how that will effect their weight loss. That being said, cleaning…
  • I lost the first 30 pounds exercising maybe 5 times in two months using only MFP as a guide to keep track of calories. And my weight loss didn't slow down, I'm just choosing to exercise more because it moves things along faster and I want to be in better shape, not just weigh less. But you definitely can lose weight using…
  • I track carbs, fat, protein, and sodium. I used to track fiber but I was consistently going over (in a good way) so I'm not particularly concerned about it anymore. I usually try to go over at least a little on protein and stay a bit under my carb goal and I track fat just to make sure I'm not over doing it. And I track…
  • Absolutely this. I just went out for a birthday dinner at Olive Garden and stuffed my face with yummy things but I planned it all out ahead of time and have made up for it since, didn't gain a single ounce and have lost a total of 31 pounds. And there are people out there who do find it difficult to lose weight. It's not…
  • I refuse to give up anything because I know it won't last so what's the point? For me personally, it works better to learn how to enjoy things I love in moderation instead of just cutting them out completely. I think the only thing I have totally given up is soda because I hate drinking my calories and I don't like it that…
  • Thanks for posting. Excellent read. :)
  • Sometimes the concept of 'a new year, a new you' is really what makes something click for certain people. I know people on here who started because of a new years resolution and a year-ish later are down over a 100 pounds. So maybe you don't buy into it but that doesn't mean it has never really worked for someone.
  • Wow, definitely giving this a try sometime. Thanks for posting!
  • Wow are you really shaming the concept of accepting other people's beliefs and lifestyles? Isn't that the point of this whole thread? That people SHOULD accept his beliefs? I tolerate people believing differently than me but I do not tolerate ignorance or hate. It's not your right to shame others because they are different…
  • HA! That's a great one! Congratulations. :P
  • I don't rely on it at all but it's certainly nice to see that lower number. It's currently showing me my first goal weight and that feels good to see in some context, even if I don't rely on it to tell me the real time frame. :)
  • I love people who are sitting here defining what it means to be curvy and who gets to call themselves that. So many sentient dictionaries on this site. People be happy with themselves if they want. They can call themselves curvy or thick or BBW. They can feel beautiful. It's really not your place to decide they can't.…
  • I saw a good quote regarding this issue on reddit earlier. "Counting calories will make you look good with clothes on, exercising will make you look good naked." Regardless of what anyone here is saying, it is ABSOLUTELY possible to lose with minimal exercise. It might be slower, it might not be. Everyone is different. But…
  • Hello my name is Nikkie and I'm addicted to the TV show Supernatural which is on in a few hours and I'm getting IMPATIENT.
  • I was given a giant box of chocolate caramel pecan turtles. I asked my boyfriend to get me absolutely anything but chocolate because I knew I would binge and he gave them to me and said "I know you can do it and eat just a few." Happens every year. :(
