  • Well, if you're artsy like me- there's nothing like going out to a cafe for coffee and sketching. Last time I had a date like that, we ended up back at my place cooking dinner and watching movies. And yeah. We've been together 2 yrs now :P. First dates that started out with a fancy dinner at a stuffy restaurant, or going…
  • Hah, I guess that means us 9-6'ers are screwed!
  • BEWBS! ...According to my boyfriend anyway. Not that that's what a good relationship is built on or anything, but it's sure something he is attracted to physically. PS, not sure why it's relevant what guys are attracted to or not. You shouldn't be customizing your body based on what someone else desires anyways. :glasses:
  • Such an amazing story! Thank you so much for sharing. You have come so far, and it doesn't look like you're stopping anytime soon either! Congratulations :)
  • I'm a little late to this thread, but thought I'd respond. I can relate to you 100% as of late, and I've been letting myself be negative and hurtful towards myself. Lately, I've dwindled off my exercise routine, partially because my work is creative and has extremely unstable hours, but mostly because I lack the passion…
  • Our bodies aren't number crunchers- there's more than just calories in/out (though that does play a factor) when it comes to weight balance. It also may have been a good time for a 'metabolic reset', though you did go slightly overboard (heheh). Your body was probably thankful for the refeed, and is now doing better than…
  • I am deeply moved by your story. Everything you have overcome is truly amazing, most people in your position would find more reason to dwell in the past. I am so proud of you for moving forward and pushing on! You are undoubtedly improving not only your own life, but others around you because of it. I wish you the best of…
  • Victoria Secret models work extremely hard to achieve their appearance. They may not lift HEAVY, but they do lift. And they work out far more than I'd likely ever have time for anyways. It's part of their JOB. And like anyone else has said, it's 80% genetics, 20% what you do with them. If you're trying to look like a…
  • I think you realize all the problems in your attitude and self-hate, so I'm not going to lecture you. We all have situations such as those, and they never are easy, but they do get easier with more self-acceptance. For example, I am curvy. I always will be curvy, it's just how I'm built. I am short, yet have large boobs,…
  • Mitzki5: Emperor Monkey, heheh.
  • I'm not a fan of the "everything in moderation" rule, because everyone has a different definition of it. Most of the time, it encourages people to eat unhealthy food as a part of their healthy diet more regularly than should be tolerated. I understand everyone's opinion of what is healthy for them is incredibly personal,…
  • I really like mine. If you are motivated by numbers, you will benefit from any tracking device such as the fitbit (jawbone makes one as well as several other brands). Do your research and find what works for you. I no longer track my exercise calories on MFP, I let my fitbit subtract whatever given calories I've burned for…
  • Amazing! May I ask what sort of diet you went on afterwards? Was it just a general healthy diet that you counted calories on? I am curious because I'm interested in eating low carb currently, but saw that you had only stuck with it for one year. I'm having a hard time keeping my carbs around 50 gr/day, ha, so I can…
  • I had something similar this morning: http://girlmeetspaleo.wordpress.com/2012/08/18/pumpkin-noatmeal-paleo-oatmeal/ Very filling, and quite tasty. I'm sure with the homemade pumpkin puree it'd be even tastier :)
  • Baking Chocolate (unsweetened) or Raw Cacao Paste dipped in honey or almond butter Baking (unsweetened) chocolate eaten in combination with a banana Popcorn and ketchup Hummus and eggs I guess it's not that strange... But I have been called out on my 'creative' food combinations many times =P
  • Oooh, how do you make this pumpkin yogurt? Or is it store bought?
  • -Dark chocolate pieces (80% or baking chocolate, I know I'm weird), sometimes dipped in almond butter (yummmm) -Homemade protein bars -Coconut yogurt with berries and nuts -Fresh fruit with nut butter -Fresh veggies with hummus -Decaf almond milk cappuccino -Small portion of salad, or whatever lunch I have in the work…
  • "Man, I need to LOSE this LOOSE skin!" ... That's an easy way to remember it. Also, LOSE is like the short version of LOSER. YOU LOSE, not "you loose". And if you spell loser like "looser", well, then there is no hope for this world.
  • I tried making a green banana chai smoothie this morning. I usually LOVE making a banana chai as a dessert smoothie, but I was craving something similar today. Ingredients: 1 large very ripe banana (bonus points if it's frozen) 3 large de-stemmed kale leaves (or any other green leafy you desire, just keep in mind kale is…
  • Uh, yeah. Nearly all of my BFs art, sketches, vine videos and some lovely PhotoBooth shots on my computer (I found those the other day) usually include a "woops! my weiner is showing!" type thing. I have a feeling it's not just my boyfriend that has this d#ck-fascination. Hahah.
  • Because I didn't like myself. And it only got worse the larger I became, so the eating increased. I've come to realize now that I was eating so much to dull the thoughts and negative feelings rather than deal with them. Once I decided to spend some 'me' time and learn to love the person I am inside, I began to lose weight…
  • Your face! Lovely facial structure :)
  • French. I'm still hoping to hear Italian though, hehe :)
  • GGut, I can see a bit of Matt Damon in you
  • If you're cool with added sugar and salt, go for it. The stuff's like crack. But if you're willing to buy plain old defatted peanut flour, it's the same thing with nothing added. You'll pay MUCH less and you can add your own sweetness if you so desire. Just look for peanut flour if you're interested. :)
  • I made a Mexican lentil dish with beans, yams, onions, tomatoes, hot pepper and tofu. Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner! You can throw it in a wrap, on a salad or on rice/quinoa too. As for oatmeal, you can always try making a savory oatmeal in the morning if you're not big on sweet foods.
  • Today I did a banana nut oatmeal. It's not that different, but it's tasty :) I added one banana, cinnamon, maca powder and lucuma powder in with the plain oatmeal and water. You can also stir in some unsweetened or vanilla protein powder if you'd like. After microwaving, I topped with walnuts, a drizzle of maple syrup and…
