Same here! Feel free to add me as well! I log daily and try hard to comment as often as I can. There definitely is strength in numbers!

You are about the same weight as me and I'm looking to lose 20 lbs by The end of August. I log daily and try and comment as often as I can. Anyone, feel free to add. We got this!

Yes! We walk everyday between 3-4 miles to the grocery store to pick up dinner plus whatever we eat for lunch the next day. We've been doing this for about 6 weeks. I've lost about 14.5 pounds, he's lost about 12. On the weekends, we walk about 15 miles total to various restaurants and shopping locations to get whatever we…

I would love to help be your accountability partner. Feel free to add, I'm a daily logger and try to comment often. There is strength in numbers!

Wow! Your starting weight is very close to mine and so is your goal weight. Thanks for sharing your story! I have something to look forward to myself! It's so inspiring to read about others going through similar struggles. Thanks again!

Wow, you look so much younger and happier! Great inspiration, thanks! :)

Awesome job! This is great motivation!!! Thank you for sharing :)

Me too! I also am a daily logger and provide supportive comments to all my friends. I'm looking for the same. Feel free to add!

I personally log everything because I'd rather overestimate my calories consumed than underestimate them. If you don't log everything, it's easy to psychologically talk yourself into eating something using the reasoning "it's not that many calories anyways". And like everyone else has said, calories do add up! Even little…

Same! I'm a daily logger and would love to reciprocate support. Feel free to add! :)

I'm looking for extra support too. I have about 95 lbs to lose until I get to my goal weight. Feel free to add! I look forward to taking this journey together! Good luck to us all.

I log everyday and am also looking for active users for motivational support. Feel free to add me!

My boyfriend was in the same boat when I decided to get on the band wagon to lose weight. I'm more overweight than he is and he also has a physical laborious job. However, I get highly motivated by those around me and he soon realized that quickly after we both joined a local gym within walking distance only to find out we…

Thanks all for your responses. I was hoping to have something more concrete because of the exercise regime and life style changes I'm working with my doctor along first before attempting medication for the thyroid problem. However, to answer a few questions: I usually pick arms or legs and choose 4-5 machines (depends on…

Thanks to whoever provided the link. This sounds like fun! Count me in as well. :)

If you cook a lot of meals from scratch, the most accurate way to figure out the calorie content (as well as the other nutrients you want to track), is to add this manually yourself. It takes a little bit of time but if you make a certain dish the same way all the time, and it's hard for you to find the exact dish you are…

Soda is a hard thing for me too but I just recently switched to fit and active non-carbonated no calorie (no artificial sweeteners either) drinks. So far, I'm able to go about 3 days without having a soda when originally I had to have one or two every day! I still drink coffee almost every day but I've limited that to one…

I do this occasionally myself but it's usually because I exercise after work so I figured I was just exhausted from the day. When I used to exercise in the early mornings, I did yawn a little but not as much. I guess I had already pretty much woken up by the time I go up and drove to the gym. Here's an interesting short…

You are correct, I didn't mean it to sound like I was thinking becoming vegan would mean weight loss. I grew up vegetarian (not vegan) and prefer non-meat in general. I do eat meat on rare occasions and always feel bad afterwards but that's an entirely different story. You mentioned you make kale smoothies - do you have a…

Wow, thanks for all your comments! Also I didn't know about Dr. Furham so I'll have to check that out! I guess where I've been shopping I haven't noticed Kale unless I just have skipped right over it thinking it was something else. I do have a Whole Foods nearby so I'll check the frozen section there. I thought about…

Hello everyone, here's mine: Finish line(Week 12): Weight goal: lose 25 lbs Exercise goal: work out for one hour 5 days a week mixing it up between cardio and weight training (legs/arms/abs) Other: keep track of all food and log it daily, have an exercise plan and stick with it, chose H20 over soda! Hello everyone, This is my first group I've ever joined and am hoping the accountability part will help me stick with my goals. I recently discovered that I'm a comfort food eater and it's really hard to think about what I eat when sometimes I just eat without realizing it. I've recently joined a gym near my work and have…

I am in a very similar boat as you and can empathize with what you are saying. I lost my brother in 2005 and have been on an emotional eating roller coaster ride ever since. I didn't realize it until recently that I've been comfort eating and it mostly happens when I get depressed or nervous about something. I too am…

That doesn't sound crazy at all to me! I do weird stuff like that too. As long as you aren't focusing on the foods they are cooking, you're fine. =) I'm a firm believer in finding what works for you. It may not work for someone else just like it does for you, but it's awesome that you found a motivating in watching the…

A shopping spree for new clothes! =)

I set my calories the same: 1200/day with 2 lbs a week. Recently I joined a gym at work and have been going swimming for 30 minutes a day (which burns a ton of calories) so I'm able to eat a bit more than 1200 cal. Drinking water is a great idea and I try and drink 4 water bottles (about 8 glasses) of water during my work…

Wow, I cannot believe all the replies. Thank you all so much for sharing your story and sharing advice. I definitely think that cold turkey is probably not something I personally can do and ironically, since I've had the stash of gummy bears in the house, I haven't really had much of a temptation to go eat them. If I do, I…

I was just saying on my wall that I think losing weight is more of a psychological game with yourself than anything. Our biggest obstacle is our own way of thinking. Once we accept that we can do this, we will be on that journey towards reaching our goals. What do you all think is the biggest reason people don't believe…
