  • Oh lord, I used to read KERF all the time before I realized ANYone could be as organized and eat so well/work out so well IF WE HAD ALL DAY TO DO IT. (Granted she *is* a mom now so I give her a few more street cred points) but geez, I just got annoyed and quit. Smugnom and GOMI (get off my internets) are mean spirited but…
  • I'm not even fat and when I run past the high school I've gotten mean comments and yells. People are just dumb in general. Also once an old man sitting in his car smoking a cigarette told me and my running group we were slow. So, yeah - just learn to laugh it off, it wont change even if you do ;)
  • I learned my lesson even trying to buy a cheap bra for a normal C/D cup. $5 wal--mart bra's are so horridly uncomfortable that I would rather wear my old ill-fitting B's. Literally TERRIBLE. Itchy, bad fitting and gross fabric that makes you sweaty. I will be investing in a decent one next size!
  • Ooooh, when I go to Portland for vacation I will stop by H&M, they are super cheap...
  • 18 weeks, it is super awkward. I just found mine at Wal-mart while I was halloween item shopping!
  • My new lifesaver right now is extra long mens under shirts (the tank top kind) Maternity clothes still look too tent like on me, and some of my normal shirts make me look just fat and ill-fitted. LOL. I dress them up for work with cute skirts and cardigans and it looks surprisingly pretty nice... Plus it was $10 for 4 of…
  • 18 weeks tomorrow and +10lbs (which has been pretty constant from 16 weeks, plus or minus some water fluctuations)
  • I'm trying a little plank a day challenge along with truing to walk 15 more times before week 20 is over in about 21 days. I'm also going to start hitting up a saturday am yoga class and maybe attempt a spin class.
  • Cuuuuute baby! I'm between 10-11 lbs at 17 weeks today.
  • I am non-discriminate. I think all food taste ZOMG! AMAZING! In particular I like carbs and meat ;)
  • You don't have any neighbors or close by storage units/closets you could use? I know space is a premium for y'all, but could be a happy medium. I am just using a pack n play the first few months anyway, so you are much more prepared than I am ;)
  • Yeesh, my husband still has a few but it doesn't bother me. I do find super drunk people annoy me more when I am forced sober, but I just try to laugh at them and remember silly things to embarrass them later! I am finding a lot of my social circle was/is based on happy hour etc, so it feels weird to be 'left out', but I…
  • Great nails and people being super nice to you! ;) My boobs annoy me and I am going to go broke buying new bra's. LOL.
  • Do any of you fellow hippy mama's have recco's on a brand that fit/work for newborns? Lots of my pals had a hard time making them work on small babies and kind of gave up once they were used to the ease of good ole pampers. Also - did any of you all have to go to daycare with cloth? How'd that work out? I'm thinking I'd…
  • Dang, way to respect another human being - medical expert or not - I used to work in training in the healthcare and some doctors are rude d-bags, this guy was def one of them...
  • I'm going the midwife group route, but its through a hospital and they are all nurses as well. I guess you could call me 'semi crunchy' ;) As for pain intervention - I am a first timer and not even going to pretend I know what I am taking on, so although going 'natural' seems most appealing to me, I am playing it by ear.
  • Oh man, my husband does that too. He also whines so much about how sick he is right now, when I basically had a cold my entire first trimester (and as we know can barely take anything to help feel better!) He also claims to have cravings for things like cheese fries. Not sure how much of that is just him liking junk food…
  • Saturday I did a scavenger 'run' with friends. My part was 4 miles which used to be average for me. I am feeling bad because I've been slacking and the 4 miles went pretty terribly. I walked a LOT. I made sure to walk yesterday and hope to go to gentle yoga tonight.
  • Congrats everyone, I just got my official due date of April 1st, so I am in your 'club' just barely ;) Been sticking between 1900 and 2100 for calories and seems to be just right as far as hunger goes, but I have a hard time just not wanting them all to be bread and meat!
  • Your ticker is so cute!
  • I'm back in the game (after a miscarriage in May) I have no clue how far I am. I think 10 weeks, but the midwife says 12 weeks. I had a good heart rate at 155 and I go in for an official dating ultrasound on Monday morning since we are unsure, but I assume it'll be April-ish ;) I'm relieved the heartbeat was good, but am…
  • a lean steak with a small baked potato and sour cream.
  • ugh, this reminds me of when I was younger working in a higher end section of a national department store. The sizes in the section were like 2-14 ish (some brands only went up to 10 or Euro '30') when a lady approached me and said in a haughty voice 'excuse me, where is a WOMAN supposed to find some jeans around here'.…

  • sometimes its hard to tell if its people you see everyday, maybe plan a lunch with someone you haven't seen in months? ;)
  • I have friends like that, I call them 'can-orexic' ;D (They are beer drinkers, but I'll come up with something clever for wine soon! Any ideas?)
  • Sadness! I'm sorry about your situation...
  • I was starting to feel like the only person who had to shamefully log so many boozin' cals on MFP. Sometimes I even just quick add '800-1000' calories so my friends can't judge me! hahahahaha. Seriously though, I do usually try to stick to light beers/drinks, but find sometimes 2 BBC Bourbon Barrel Stouts pack the same…
  • OMG, that IS horrifying, LOL. Man, what a kook.
  • My first ever was 35 and something-odd seconds minutes on a hilly course in 85 degree weather. Sadly, I havent been interval/speed training and can only get 32 minutes now, about a year later.
