a good idea is strength training 3x a week and cardio 4-5x a week. :) Muscle doesn't bulk you up, it makes you smaller.

At least 3x a week doing strength and the rest cardio, if your strength workouts are relatively short, do a short cardio like a 15 minute walk or something along those lines. My suggestions would be: drink more water per day change up your exercise, you have to shock your body every month, it gets used to it and doesn't pose as a challenge anymore.. do you do any strength training, i swear by it!

I work 5 days a week at a desk job. I consider myself Sedentary only because when I go home, I am on the computer doing homework. The weekends are sometimes moving but nothing strenuous. I would think you could get away with lightly active :) I workout everyday though! :)

well they do weigh more than you but same height so that could make a difference. After about 4 weeks your body gets used to your activity, so you'll have to change it up soon. It took me a very long time to accept inches lost is almost better than weight lost! Just remember that inches lost means you can actually see and feel a difference. Where as weight is all mental with the scale. INCHES IS GREAT :) :)

I started in January of 2010 at 170 and got down to 136 by may 31st. You can definatly do it! :) I gained it all back though because I am not smart but :) stick to it. It is hard work!!

earlier this year I had lost almost 45 pounds and my calves did not shrink very much at all! I know this sucks because you can't ever change them and alot of strength training programs want you to work your calf muscles too so that you build muscle everywhere. I tend to skip calf workouts because of how big mine are. :\
