  • Hahahaha!!! Is this going to turn into a fitness nut version of "You might be a redneck if..."?! I'm sure things are going to be getting ugly pretty soon!!!
  • SaraBear... Take pictures!!! I have the same exact problem as you. I think we are all our worst critics, our worst enemies, pretty much the most judgemental person that we will ever have to face. When I started working out, I didn't see a difference when I looked in the mirror, but now that I have my "photographic…

  • You sound like me 2 months ago... Except I didn't even have my birthday as a reason to buy anything...
  • Sorry for not posting again last night... I DID GET MY PIZZA-I ordered vegetarian, with a salad. The only downfall is I have no clue what the calorie content was, because it's a local restaurant. I had 2 pieces of a small pizza... So I found something I thought was comparable. I had 21 calories left before doing…
  • You get shin splints so bad to sleep with icepacks... And then you go for a run again the next day... *My husband hates it-now he knows what I think about his cold feet:laugh:

  • Okay, so I was planning on doing my c25k program, and 4 minutes into it, my sister called me. In the past, I would have just got off the treadmill, and talked, but today I kept at a brisk walk and talked at the same time. I ran for 5 minutes after we hung up. I didn't burn as many calories as usual, but I still have P90X…
  • Oh wow... Everyone is doing so well! I can't get over the progress we are all having! And Mister-WELCOME BACK!!!!!! Congrats on the little girl, and on the new house! Christine-Holy cow!! Size 12 would be awesome right about now! I had the same exact thing for breakfast today... Bagel, cream cheese, and banana. I am going…
  • Okay Meg... Here's my dinner, plus snacks, for the rest of my day... I had a rotisserie chicken sandwich on 100% whole wheat bread, plus *gasp* some potato salad. I also had some heathy pop corn, and more string cheese, plus a granola bar after I worked out... Leaving me a deficit for the day of 700+ calories... Whew!…
  • Best of luck to you!!! And as a former smoker as well... I definitely know what it's like to gain weight from quitting those evil things! You'll have fun here, and it'll make you feel better suffering though the craziness with the rest of us!:drinker:

  • You know when you're a fitness nut when people you play volleyball with ask you... "So, where's you heart rate at NOW?" in the middle of an intense, competitive game... They know me waaaayyy too well.
  • Ari-I'm so glad to hear from you... You sound so much better, and I really want you to know how much I luv ya!!! You really are a blessing for all of us on this thread. I'm sure you will do well, and just keep on going, even if you do think you're a snail... Hopetobeinshape:Okay, I'll admit that I can't remember…
  • Okay... We tell our kids not to eat anything from friends unless we give them permission. Main thought is: You don't know what they were doing with their hands before making THAT... I think that applies twice as much to foods made with people's FEET! You guys are craaaaazy! And in an attempt to put this thread back to…
  • We've given her so much flak for going Air Guard, but after my husband got out of the Army, he missed the military structure, so he joined in, surprise-surprise, the AIR GUARD... Now they are in the same exact unit, and although he out-ranks her so far, after she gets her commission the party is OVER... Well, not like he's…
  • Okay, here's my most recent additions... Snack: String cheese, small apple-140 calories Lunch: Banana, Healthy Choice Steamer-355 calories I am eating bananas more often now, because I have been getting cramps lately while running. And speaking of cramps... Guess who's most annoying Aunt came to visit yesterday?!:explode:
  • Oh, and my husband is the only person I know of who actually ate "foot bread" when he was in Afghanistan... He's got a stomach made of steel, I swear!!!
  • I was telling my sister about this thread-we were laughing so hard... She's a weapons instructor/security forces and is currently finishing her degree for a position they've offered her. She told me to make sure and mention that I always give her a hard time about her most recent deployment. She went to Kyrzykystan... Boy…
  • Good morning everybody! So, anyone is welcome to join in on our most recent science experiment. I plan on posting my meals here after loging them into my food diary; I think you can be more aware of your calories and where they come from if you know you have to tell people what you've been eating!!! Breakfast…
  • Oooooh-my dad (he was ARMY) used to take them with us on camping trips... And he was one of the crazies who actually liked a bunch of them... I love anything outdoors, but that will ruin anyone's day...
  • Ari-You are my rock!!! I am, as always, proud of you and your accomplishments. I think that with a little bit of tweaking, we can get that scale to budge in the right direction.:flowerforyou: How about we hold each other accountable this week? I would really love to lose at least 2 pounds by next Tuesday... How's about we…
  • You're supposed to wet the back of the transmitter itself... The hard rubber part that you wear against your chest. If you don't wet it, then it won't read your heart rate correctly.
  • Pfffft!!! Skimpy clothes and me just don't mix!!! I will definitely try to do something other than just gym clothes, but I can't make myself wear the whole sports bra getup just yet... The only person who's allowed to see "the girls" would be my hubby-he doesn't mind me posting on the web, but a pic of me like that…
  • Hello everyone! I lost the 2 pounds that I gained previously, so I am back to ground zero... I'm very glad to be back to an official 16 pounds lost, but really, really want to get to 20 pounds down by at least mid-April... I will get there!!!
  • Ooooh! I just saw the Yogi tea yesterday, but hate buying things without some feedback on it first... I saw some really yummy-sounding flavors, but I ended up getting the dieter's green tea instead... I usually have some tea from Korea(I'm half) that my aunt sends, but it's brown rice green tea, and isn't common to find…
  • I wanted to post something that I had on a different thread... Okay... So I'm up to week 10, since I had to repeat week 9 after all the craziness with hospital scares & sickness, plus volcanoes... I added some new pics on my profile to keep myself accountable. I put everything in order: Grey shirt is me at my heaviest…

  • Not only that, but EXTREME over-hydrating is dangerous... If you do drink gallons and gallons of water a day, then you can run the risk of flushing those much-needed electrolytes from your system, causing you to feel light-headed, dizzy, and sometimes, you can even faint. I'm not trying to scare anyone; a friend of mine…
