References are rarely, if ever called. Just an FYI. It depends on the company, but I've worked for both the federal government and a Fortune 50 company and we NEVER called references.

Okay, so here's the insurance agent checking in... 1. I agree with the above post. Contact all three credit agencies (TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian) and put them on fraud alert. You should also pull your full credit report (usually costs about $25) and make sure there are no fake credit cards on there. 2. Everyone…

I would also suggest buying a heart rate monitor (HRM) as relying on websites or the cardio machines themselves aren't always accurate. For me they were always way under-estimating. For my mom they were always way over-estimating. And, because this usually leads to a price discussion, go ahead and spring for one of the…

I'm not sure where you are located. (I suppose I should have looked on your profile before I started responding) but I know in our area the job market is very tough my husband finished his MBA and it still took a TON of job interviews and 6 months to find a good job. As a former HR person, I got really mad at interviewers…

I understand. Losing a small amount of weight is pretty tough. I get frustrated because when I was alot heavier I made the slightest change and would drop weight. Now I'm down to my final amount and each pound seems like it takes ages to come off. I just like to think that is my body's way of telling me, "You're close to…

Count me in! And for whomever mentioned that they had to have the Diet Coke at lunch. I used to be that way too. I finally got rid of all my caffenated beverages and I feel so much better! Replace that diet coke with protein dense foods, that will perk you up. Also, there is research that suggests the frutctose in an Apple…

We've saved so much money because we're not wasting our money on Pop and Chips. Its ridiculous. I was buying 2 cases of Diet Pepsi and 2 family size bags of tortilla chips a week. That really adds up! Fresh frutis and veggies have gone up in price a bit, but we've been buying alot more frozen veggies to replace them. We…

LOL! I love it! My friend Britney and I are workout buddies and we wear the same size. Our husbands play football together and so we get together before all the games and exchange clothes. Its so much fun! I don't have any sisters, and my mom is 9 inches shorter than me, so I've never gotten to share clothes. I love it!

I lost ALOT on top in the beginning too, which is why I'm already a dress size 10. But these darn hips just won't budge! So I take joy inthe little things, like wearing a size medium in tops now. Or if its a fitted/sized shirt I can often wear a size 8. Don't be discouraged if that pants don't fit just yet. Or go to Old…

When I went from 200 lbs down to 165 I only went down 1 pant size. Granted, I probably should have been buying the size 16 pants but out of pride kept wearing the 14s. I think it will take me another 10 -15 lbs (around 140) to get down to a 10.

I'm 5'9" and 162 right now and I wear a size 12, and sometimes a 10 depending on the store. But I have naturally large hips, so I have to fit everything to those. Generally speaking, though, I'm a size 12 in pants and a size 10 in a dress. Smallest - 10 Largest - 16 Now - 12 Goal - 10

I totally agree. Not that I have much to compare... I've only been married a year. I stayed pretty calm through the whole planning process and remembered that it was more important to focus on the marriage and not the wedding. Hopefully that works out well for us in the long run. I did everything myself for the pew…

I would love to be a wedding planner... Okay, for Decor, I would avoid the typical red wedding entirely. I've always dreamed of a winter wedding with just plain pine trees with white lights in them. A very natural, earthy look. For bridesmaid dresses I would have like a muted champagne, gold color. And I would make that…

Will you personally walk them down to my house or will I have to wait for you to post them on here? I am still on here. More so since I started this Arbonne program to keep me on track. I have the BEST Arbonne consultant. I should intriduce you.

Oh yes. My bkini on the fourth of July felt amazing. First time I've EVER worn one. And I even got whistled at. :noway: Keep working hard!

Today is my first wedding anniversary!! We're going to the Greek Restaurant where we had our wedding reception at for dinner tonight. And the top tier of our wedding cake is currently defrosting in the fridge. So sorry MFPers... I'm going off diet tonight! Mmmmm.... YUMMY!

Awesome! Changing sizes is the BEST feeling! And just so you know, I think Levi's are made for women with absolutely no hips or curves. No matter what size I've ever been the Levi's have NEVER fit right. My new favorite jeans are from Express and they're the Eva Fit. I'm a size 12 there. And they're super cute.

So food that is orange freaked me out when I was a kid. I just began eating sweet potatoes. So what does butternut squash taste like? I'm assuming it must have a sweet taste to it like other orange veggies? I've seen a few recipes lately for squash. I know my mom is obsessed with it, but it would probably give her a heart…

There is a Sara Lee one that eat that's called like "45 calories and Delightful". Its pretty yummy.

That's awesome. I wish I was a pirate. Sounds much cooler than "insurance agent".

Good for you. Pringles are tough ones for me too! I even had to rid my home of the 100 calorie pack ones because I would just go and open up another packet!

I lost 35 lbs. on SBD about 4 years ago and I've never put another pound of it back on. I'm not doing SBD anymore, my body is resistant to elimnating carbs at this point, but if you ready th book and follow the diet you learn ALOT. Good luck!

What are you guys going as? I finished making my costume this weekend. I wanted a "naughty" costume, but I didn't feel like spending $50 - $80 on it. So I went to the fabric store, bought a pattern and all the fabric/notions/etc... and made mine for $30. My husband was impressed with my mad sewing skills. lol So I'm going…

Yeah, getting the business under control is a big deal. Its tough because with property and casualty insurance I'm extremely tied to the real estate industry. So when they take hits, I take hits. I have other products to sell (life insurance, financial products, etc...) but home insurance is my bread and butter. So I'm on…

Okay, so I've been married for a year now and of course my biological clock has begun ticking. I'm 26 and my thought process has always been that it will probably be easier to drop the baby weight when I'm younger rather than waiting till I'm in my 30's. I've battled weight my whole life, and I'm finally within sight of…

I watch the show all the time and I've picked up so many good things. Their advice for buying jeans has REALLY helped me to find jeans that look good on my body. (Mid-rise, wide leg trouser jeans are my new BFF). I actually love that I am now 26 and own my own business because I can get away with wearing much more…

Ugh! I have NEITHER. Small bust and flat butt. My husband always says it looks like my butt fell off. LOL My thighs used to be alot thicker and I found once I was running and losing weight that my hamstrings became more defined and it "chisled" away a differentiation from my butt. So that has helped. But jeans never fit me…

Oh man, who wants realistic? I want to look like Jessica Simpson. I could lose the weight, but with my "god-given assets" I would need some surgery to get the whole package right. lol And along with her body I would like her shoe collection, hair stylist, and ex-husband. Is that asking too much?

I want to dress like crap for a year and then get nominated to be on What Not To Wear, and then get to go spend $5000 on a new wardrobe. I also used to joke around that I was going to walk around looking like crap so that I could go on The Swan and get all of the plastic surgery for free. Too bad first impressions are key…
