Ah, that reminded me the movie Killed Bees! And now the videos of Asian giant hornet is haunting me.... :indifferent:

Fine, fine. My sincere apologies to you and your hypethetical popcorn

Being educated has nothing to do with being smart. Read, research and learn; someone who lacks the scientific curiosity and doubt is not cut for it. It's science, not cooking. You won't go far with only passion and commitment. You could have in 18th century, but not in 21st. Just a friendly advice and sorry if I sounded…

I majored on molecular biology and genetics and have a masters on biotechnology (this one not really by choice to be honest). General biology, taxonomy and ecology were all obligatory classes but I have no beekeeping degree :p
-
Sorry, will let you have your popcorn peacefully  It's been a loooong time since I last had popcorn. Not trying to avoid it particularly but I always forget buying some when I go shopping :grumble:
-
Enroll in an entomology class and focus on hymenoptera then. I can breed you a healthy colony without any genetic vulnerabilities or super bees that are less prone to insecticides but that be it.

Popcorn for dinner would need half the world's corn resources for me! :p Bon appetit!

As long as you are healthy, thirst is a natural response. Just make sure you also replace the minerals lost or you'll feel dizzy or worse due to electrolyte imbalance according to your water intake.
-
I would indulge myself in that popcorn but it's not my typical breakfast treat

Easy there queen bee. No need to get hyperventilated over a losing argument. See none of this would have happened if you didn't go out of your way and continue judging people. A little respect goes a long way but you still seem to lack it.

Quoting a random vegan site out there is the scientific approach.
-
If you are a so called zoology major, you know where honey comes from. Bottom line. That's how I feel.
-
I'd prefer it if you don't put words in my mouth. I said bees wouldn't care about your argument because the 'honey is made from bees' doesn't make the tiniest sense in this universe and most of the alternative ones. I personally know beekeepers who LOVE their bees and take care of them more than they do to their own…
-
Bees are not caged chickens or pinned cows or trapped fish. Whereas I see where most vegetarians and vegans are coming from and understand why they choose not to eat those including honey, the argument behind this thread is so misinformed that I doubt even bees care.

If you measure uncooked pasta of 100kcal and cook them, even if you get heavier pasta, there won't be a noticeable calorie difference so you can stick to your uncooked measurement (and add the calories of any other ingredients you add). If you measure your pasta after it's cooked then you just take pasta (cooked) calories…

Since we, homo sapiens, have the tendency to eat our meat cooked (with a few exceptions) calorie data you find regarding meat is almost always for cooked. For veggies both cooked and raw data are usually available and for fruits it's mostly data for raw (and dried). Grains usually come with uncooked and cooked data as well.

Kg. Check. Athletes. Check. Lean body mass. Check.

Ditto! I never manage to fall asleep with the uneasy feeling of impending hunger.
-
That seems good.

Needless to say, a calculator that doesn't take gender into account is not even remotely accurate.
-
Thank you! I'm not too much bothered by the taste, I drink and experiment pretty much everything but will check their availability in my country or in Spain since I guess it may be hard to find them out of NA. I love simple poached chicken breasts and tuna in water but the first is hard to carry around and the latter I…

I'm really clueless about brands but will keep those in mind when I start working out in three weeks. I have days once in a while that I find it hard to feel hungry enough (namely, I eat too much sugar gah... I need a rehab!) so those should come handy.

Sorry to hear about that but also glad to hear you're doing fine. Even though it's not related to this topic, same basically goes for an EKG and a cardio effort test. It's best to get the heart checked as well if one doesn't have a history of sports or had a drastic lifestyle change. Better safe than be sorry, especially…

Exactly. What I meant to say was that most people are just peeing/pooping most of the protein they consume since they are not working out as intensely. But if more protein makes you feel better, then why not? The thing I questioned was 'need'. Needless to say for athletes, high protein intake goes in a high calorie diet…

Yes, but I don't think she is getting ready for the olympics. And I do believe this 'your weight times n grams' is hugely misunderstood due to metric and imperial system confusion. That said I'm no way anti-protein or anything. I just think in most of the examples I see on forum (which belonged to people with medium…
-
I'm pretty surprised by the amount of protein people devour in MFP. I don't think you 'need' 150 grams but that's probably just me. At least please make sure you're not prone to kidney diseases before going all the way pro.

An average of 4 hours during weekdays and 7-8 at best for weekends. It IS taking its toll but I'm too stubborn and always end up going to bed late. And quite honestly it is hindering the diet as I binge only when I'm exhausted. It's a 'sleep or eat' response, or so I think. Trying to find a middle way but my body is not…

Sorry if I sounded offensive, didn't mean it  It usually take a few days for tissues to be hydrated back unless you shed some excess water, depending on the climate and your activity rate as well as your water and electrolyte intake. I'm not saying all of the weight loss is just water by the way, but it's more…
-
As good metabolic boost as it may be, alcohol is a strong diuretic hence the move on the scale. Make sure you don't dehydrate yourself.
-
You are toning up and muscle has a greater density than fat, so while you decrease in size it's natural not to see a movement on the scale. It's also not uncommon to gain weight for the same reason. Don't let the evil scale bother you! Baggy clothes are a solid proof
