oh, i think refinishing furniture sounds fun! i have thought about it many times over the years. but i don't really have a place here where i could do something like that. when we get our garage/workshop, that will definitely be a project i'll take on. have you ever done that?

HAHA!

i absolutely love the idea of gardening. i hope to learn how to get started this summer. but i can't do that when the kids are in bed. i wanted something for a night or 2 a week at the end of the day. thanks though.

WOW what an awesome list! thanks a lot!! you have some great ideas there!

thanks, your message was encouraging. i don't know what i enjoy though. i would like painting if i didn't get disappointed and discouraged every time i do it. some people are so naturally artistic. i would love to be that. i really crave creativity, and i'm a very creative thinker. i just seem to suck at actually creating.

i'm not really in the mood to learn right now. id rather something i can just jump into.

i find some responses unbelievable as well. who would have thought this would become such an issue? aside from the way out there responses, most of the comments have been really supportive, nice and helpful- so thanks a lot to those people! as far as pudding cups go - we buy a 4 pack every 2 weeks or so for our 3 year old.…

thanks for saying that! i was going to respond to the lazy comment but couldn't be bothered. guess that was lazy of me... :)

good point. i should also mention here that i regularly make an entire recipe of 'healthier' banana muffins that are always all his. i like them, but he loves them - so i make them for him to eat as many or as little as wants. i make another version specifically for my boyfriend so he has healthy snacks at work. the…

oh it is reeeeeeeally good. i LOVE it. i hope you enjoy it!

LOVE this! thank you! and i agree, you can tell the non parents for sure

sharing is fine. i'm all for it - read my solution. i just don't want him gobbling it up when he will follow it with a pudding cup, or something from his easter basket. if he was interested in giving up junk in the same way i am, then sure - that would be all we'd have in the house for a chocolate treat. the issue wasn't…

1/2 cup coconut oil (slightly melted, but not hot) 1/2 cup good quality cocoa powder 1/2 cup natural peanut butter 1/4 cup raw honey 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract mix everything together and put in lined muffin cups or spread flat out on cookie sheet that has been lined with wax paper. put in the freezer for 10-15 mins.…

thanks everyone. he knows all about it being a healthier option. but he doesn't really follow any certain eating plan, other than what i serve. but he will eat pretty much anything. i decided when i make it from now on, i will cut a portion for him and one for me. once his share is gone, it's gone. i think that's fair. and…

feel free to add me! i have more than 100 to lose.

thanks a lot for sharing these.

i agree with the last 2 posters views.

thanks. my mindset seems great based on the advice i'm getting. i don't consider falling off as failure. i know as long as i keep coming back, i'm not failing. but for some reason i just keep falling. i also don't ever think of myself as a being on a diet, or anything short term - or depriving. i know if it's to be life…

thanks to everyone for all the great messages. believe it or not, i do think i can do it. i just get frustrated with my past numerous attempts that end in derailment. i know i can do it, i just need the right tools.

this would make a great mantra! thanks!

great message! how and where do i begin?

i don't mean to judge, i'm concerned. concerned for her, concerned for him. this could be a serious issue. about the shock value... i meant that it's possible that she doesn't cut herself and that she just said it to get a reaction. i'm sure if she really cuts herself, she wouldn't tell him to shock him. i think she had a…

thanks to all of you. you have all given such great input. it's so much easier when they are little. the teen years stress me out! about the girl... i read a message she sent him when they first started talking. she told him that she cuts herself. i don't know if it's true or if she said it for shock value. but that…
