  • I was weighing in on Wednesday in December, but now I'm thinking that maybe Mondays and Thursdays are gonna be my thing this year. If it starts to get discouraging to see it twice a week, I'll just go to Mondays only. I wanna make sure I'm staying pumped, 'cause I'm gonna make 2012 my *kitten*! ^_~
  • How's it been working for you, hon? It's been a week; thought I'd check in on you and see how you've been making out with your quarter
  • Sorry, stupid question: what's a stone?
  • My mini-goal is to be 199 or less. I'm only 5'1.5" for goodness sake, 200 and ANYTHING on me... There's no place to hide it. Back when I was doing Dr. B, I would always chant '199... 199...' Whenever something tempted me. Since I'm only trying to stay under my 1690 calories now, I don't really do that anymore. But the idea…
  • I've never done a challenge before, so I'm a little nervous. Do we submit measurements? Is there a weekly weigh-in? We don't have to go to the gym, do we? 'Cause I have major phobia about gyms. Do I need to buy some weights or something? Info on what this challenge ACTUALLY entails would be helpful. Thanks ^_^
  • At the risk of sounding ungrateful, I didn't appreciate that question from random strangers even when I WAS pregnant. People that couldn't give two craps about me before would all of a sudden come up and start TOUCHING my belly and asking all these personal questions... I've always found the whole 'your belly is now public…
  • Just keep plugging away at it, man. And don't forget the whole 'Rome wasn't built in a day' thing. You didn't pack it on in a day, so you won't lose it ina day either. That's just life. We're gonna see you through this, man. 2 steps forward and 1 step back is still 1 STEP FORWARD! You can do this ^_^
  • This sounds interesting. I'd like to join as well, if it\s not too much trouble. Now, I'm gonna be buying Max Workout on my Christmas paycheck (yay for SuperStats), so I'll need motivation to do the 90 day workout. As long as that's not considered cheating, I'm totally in ^_^
  • I stopped going to Facebook a LONG time ago. Managing my account felt like a second job after awhile, and the drama... Honest to God I will never understand the appeal of airing your dirty laundry where anyone and everyone can see it. This site is chocked full of folks united by a common goal: self-improvement. Most of us…
  • I like that method best ::giggles:: For me, I'm 5'1.5" with a BMI of 40, so I figured any strides I can make towards the healthy BMI of 22 would be a good thing. I chose 127lbs, because that's the weight I always dreamed of for myself when I was a kid (I've always been chunky). The goal might change as I get closer, but…
  • Thanks so much for the replies, everyone! They really helped me out. ^_^
  • ::laughes:: I feel like I've found my peoples! My husband, StrikeFiss, is a hardcore fanfic writer and I met him by emailing him about his work. Now we're married in Calgary with a 2 year old! This is awesome!! What's eveyone's favorite fandons? Mine is Rurouni Kenshin. I scour fanfiction.net constantly for good fiction on…
  • At 5'1", I often feel I'm in danger of being stepped on. I weighed in @ 216lbs today, but back in high school I always dreamed of being 127lbs. I've always been a chubby gal, so getting rid of my front pouch, the thighs that constantly rub holes in my jeans and the love handles would be incredible! I'll never be rid of my…
  • Okay, breathe girl. You sound like you have a MAJOR case of the "holiday treat blues" and that's okay. As an orthopedic nurse, my unit's been FLOODED with cookies, brownies, donuts and MOUNTAINS of candy. We all succumb once in a while, and I find that if I just can't say no to the sweets, then it's time to go 'diet-lite'…
  • That sounds like a great idea! I'll just have to work to make sure my 'active lifestyle matches whether or not I'm at work! .. Of course that means I messed up today... ::shrugs:: Oh well, I work tomorrow too, so I can get it together then ^_~
  • I really wish there was a way to save one's favorite Threads, 'cause, honestly, I would save this one and read it whenever I start to feel that I'm never gonna make it to my 127lbs. I know that 'Rome wasn't built in a day' and all, but sometimes I just wanna do something drastic (and likely stupid) to make it all go away.…
  • What brand of pedometer would you recommend? I'm finding that the ones I've bought from Walmart aren't very accurate
  • 1. Sit down on my bed, draw my knees up to my chin, and rest my head on my knees without feeling like I can't breath 2. Touch my toes without my belly getting in the way. 3. Buy that beautiful gothic dress and that dress from Bellissima that I've been wanting. Find reasons to wear both in public at least once. 4. Take a…
  • First off, congrats on the baby! That must have been quite a shock, but speakina as a mother with past issues with family, it's all worth it in the end. Even if itcloses bridges now, they tend to re-open given time. Just keep focusin on how to be a good dad and you'll be fine. Plus, it gives you nine months to get as much…
  • Also, keep in mind that: a. Muscle weighs more than fat. So working out, while excellent for your body, usually translates as a slower weight loss b. Hormonal changes for women tend to result in water retention. It took me years to realize that at certain times of the month (namely ovulation and menstration), I'm always…
  • I just joined two days ago on the advice of a friend and I'd love to have a few (or lots) of buddies to talk to about diet-related things. I think my poor husband is getting a little sick of the subject after all these years! Can I count on any of you shiny people?
