I like your idea Janet. Let me know when you make a batch. See you Tuesday AM.

I am sorry to hear that. Has exercise and your nutrition plan helped to reduce the need any?

Thanks for sharing. It is amazing what people can do when they just get their food under control and their foot through the gym door.

Sorry it was not stated because they are allowing many variables.

From discussions on the site I thought this post would have a lot of views but hardly any it seems.

@dbiddle69 My older brother was in the Marine's and married a lady from Okinawa. When you mentioned yakisoba I then remembered it was one of my favorite things that she would make us. Thanks for reminding me of great times.

I honestly don't remember where I got this. I belong to quite a few professional organizations and we freqently post topics for others use.

Coudn't have said it any better myself!

I personally believe tape measurements are a much better method of tracking progress along with body fat %. BMI is useless. My son who is a power lifter is 5' 8" and weighs close to 250. That would make him extremely obese. At a very minimum BMI does not even consider bone structure so a person with small, medium or large…

You're welcome. Quite a few women I know are always talking about moving to a better climate and I thought they may be interested in what cities offer women the healthiest lifestyles.

Did you ever get a chance to look at the other routine I sent about a week ago?

And she does a fantastic job!

That sounds like a very normal course of action people may take. Perhaps not too healthy though.

Just wanted to add an article from the Mayo Clinic Dietary Staff Department about some benefits of eating breakfast....... Weight loss and breakfast With Mayo Clinic nutritionist Katherine Zeratsky, R.D., L.D. Question Breakfast: How does it help weight control? Why does eating a healthy breakfast help control weight?…

This is a 3 - 5 day program several of my clients followed with results ranging from a pound lost to almost 5 depending on your particular situation. If this does not appeal to you or you may have medical reasons not to use this approach I would say to stop by any health foods store. They generally have several options to…

Thanks for the reference. Looks like a very good program. I usually change up a few things. I like putting supersets in order of difficulty. As I may have mentioned I began training women in 1988 and unless they have medical limitations I rarely train them differently then a man. Matter of fact I train several husband wife…

Elizabeth, Yes you may have lost more weight than what is mentioned but I will bet that you have been exercising which accounts for a great deal of your loss. To my knowledge they were not exercising only changing their diets. Also had you been doing what Tigersword or Keiras_Mom suggested above you may have lost even more…

I knew this topic would open up a Pandora’s Box and I will try to clarify a few negative comments. First, on my behalf I have been training males and females aged 15 to 86 since 1988. Of these I have trained several men and women who have competed in Tri-State Body Building shows. As examples they placed first in the…

Just thought I would provide some new research and methods for others that might not be as successful as you!

Hi Angela, Thanks for commenting on my post about measurements vs. the scale. Your comments are exactly what I am talking about. I have trained plenty of women and I know they all feel the same way you do. No one is going to say wow you look like you lost 5 pounds accept for those you may tell who then agree. However, many…

Attention BMI disciples …… I feel it is also necessary to comment about BMI. It is even more useless then weight. Why? BMI does not consider bone structure for one thing. People can be small, medium, large or X-large. Another reason can be found looking into my results. Because I have worked out with weights for a number…

I like your style. In the past I provided training for a Women's Workout World location. Day after day I would see the same ladies come in do a warm up, participate in a group class and then use machines at very low weights. Often times they may do 50 repetitions while talking all the while to the woman on the machine next…

Hi, First I would like to offer this comment - Breasts do not have muscles in them. They have ligaments and connective tissue. Muscles are in the chest behind the breasts. So doing exercises such as push-ups, dumbbell chest presses and fly’s will help strengthen, tone and condition the muscles but will not have a great…
